Every 5 years the place goes up for bid. This year there were two bidders, Gil and another person. Both bids were essentially identical in their details offering 10% of gross receipts to the city. The city parks and recreation department recommended Gil to receive the bid.

You can see the city council meeting from February 27th via the link above. The part discussing Harry Koch and Gil is about 30 minutes into the meeting. The council asked him a number of pointed questions about the five year decreases in revenues and other questions about salaries, registered shoots etc. Bottom line is that the council rejected both bids by a 5-2 vote and asked Parks and Recreation to relet the bids. That is what is happening now.

Sorry Boy's, but not everyone that has shot at the Koch facility found Gil Johnson a good manager. We choose to shoot other locations, and not go back. The list of complaints are endless. If it wasn't for some of the shooters that helped with the invitational events, being courtious to out-of-area shooters then no one would have acknowleged our existance.

Just compare participation at KCTA, KC to H.Kock, Omaha and judge for yourself.
