That ain't just fog over there.

Do those people ever see the sun?

Why don't those GREEN treehuggers get off our (the US) cases and say something about China. That pollution is simply awful.

The air in Beijing makes Los Angeles air look absolutely clean.

It must be wonderful to live in a 'workers paradise'.

I agree...... that puts our industries here in the US at a disadvantage having to comply with Fed regs on air quality.. while China.... blows pollution out in the air. Its a darn shame and a crime. We as individuals competing with the China goverment owned businesses. Darn WTO. Wished our trade reps would pull their heads out and see whats happening.

Looks like their preventative cloud seeding didn't work either. What a hole.

Would you rather have it here let them have it they are taking all the industry into their country let them have the by-product and we will all be healthier. Poorer but healthier.

Just think how bad it would be it they weren't driving every other day as that was the plan to get rid of the pollution prior to the start of the olympics. I think they started it almost 90 days prior to the start. Can you imagine what it's like in the hill country around the cities. Jackie B.

Most of the major industrial cities there have been that way for years -- not a new problem, which is why you see people walking on the streets with masks over their nose and mouth.

And as Dave T commented, once that stuff gets up into the atmosphere, it can travel across the globe into the air that you and I breathe.

Unfortunately, they are more concerned with building their economy than requiring factory owners to spend the large amounts of money it takes to scrub pollutants before the air gets out of the smoke stack.
