Oldie But Goodie: Remington Model 11

Hello there…I thought some of you might appreciate seeing some of the older shotguns in my collection….

Here is one of my favorites: Remington Model 11 F Grade

This fantastic piece of Remington history has an extremely low serial number in the 5000 range which dates it to 1908…... This is the way I purchased it. I have had it in my collection for the past 20 years….The engraving is deep chisel, hand engraved. I don’t think the wood is Factory but a replacement set that was made in the 40’s or 50’s……

The barrel has A factory installed Cutts Compensator….The gun came with a complete set of Cutts Tubes in the original Wood Box with the wrench….

I hope you enjoying seeing these pictures as much as I enjoy owning the gun….

    Thanks for looking….

    Stu Gabriel

Stu: what are the choke tubes you have lined up from left to right?

I have an Ithica 37 with a Cutts and a bunch of tubes. I think I have Spreader, IC, mod, full, EXfull. I am wondering if the Spreader tube is for Skeet? it's only good to about 20 yds.

Stu: turns out I have the .690 ex full, .705 full, .725 Mod, and SP-R I don't have the IC tube. I'll keep my eye out for one at the gun shows.

Do you know exactly what "SP-R" stands for? I thought it was for "Spreader" But I have no idea what you would use it for. Buckshot or slugs maybe?

The tube looks like a Venturi for a carburetor.

I don't however, have the cool wooden box for my set, but I do have the wrench.
