Oldie but Goodie: 1938 Stevens Model 5000 Side by Side

Here is a very affordable shotgun from collection. You do not have to spend big bucks on a lot of the older shotguns that are available.

This is a 1938 Stevens Model 5000, 16 Gauge Side by Side that I found in a local gun shop.

The wood is original and came as you see it. I had the Metal done over and what you see is the end result of a very good looking, very functional side by side shotgun at a very afordable price.

As I have said before, I am a wood freak, and when I saw this one, I had to own it…..

    Thanks for looking,

    Stu Gabriel (MrGun)

I picked up a Stevens 5100 in 20 ga a couple years ago. Open chokes, solid, nice old double. If I can figure out how to post pix, I'll do it. Love those old doubles.

Have my father-in-law's old Hunter Arms "The Fulton", and an AYA double made for Sears...JCHiggins 100 in 20 which is a great dove gun.
