OTA gun club. South of I-40 between Yukon and El Reno. They shot trap and some games. Don't know what nights. OKC gun club shoots mostly skeet. Silverleaf in Edmond (north of OKC) is a really nice place to shoot Sporting Clays. There is a place in Tecumseh (South East of OKC) that shoots Sporting too. Ada, OK shoots some trap and skeet too. Its south of OKC.

George, you'll find very few games shot in the states of OK, KS, and TX. Far and very few in-between!

The OTA Shooting Park will start observing winter hours on Saturday November 5. Our new Hours of Operation (Weather Permitting) will be 10 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and Noon to 5 PM on Sundays. We will be closed for public shooting on Tuesday evenings starting Nov 8.

Ron Bliss has proposed a new Tuesday Night Fun shoot for the OTA Shooting Park. We will open the Park on Tuesdays for the fun shoot participants only, that way if only a few people show up we can pull the plug and save on labor costs. Beginning Nov 8th., we will have our fun shoot starting at 6:30. We hope to be able to shoot some practice before the program. If after the program we have enough interest, we could shoot some buddy shoots and some knockouts. Buddy shoots will consist of ten peoples names in a drawing. Shooters will be paired and will shoot from the 27 yd line. Each shooter will shoot and his partner can back him up if necessary. Cost will be $2 per shooter. The winning team will split $10 and $10 will go to the club. If we shoot knockouts, cost will be $2 per shooter. Winner will get half of pot and club will get the other half. If the weather is bad, people will have to use common sense and know that we aren't going to shoot. The continuation of this shoot will be based on shooter participation. Please direct your questions to Ron Bliss @ countryequipment2@gmail.com.

The Winter Derbies will be starting in November at the OTA Shooting Park and at Shawnee Twin Lakes Trap Club. Shawnee will shoot on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and OTA will shoot on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from November 2011 through February 2012. Click below for details:

    OTA Derby Program

    Shawnee Derby Program

Shawnee will host a 100 bird non-registered event starting 5 Nov 2011 at 1 PM. 50 Singles and 50 handicap targets. If not an ATA member, handicap will be shot at least the 20 yard line. Cost is $40 dollars - $20 for targets and $20 in the purse. Purse will be divided 1st 25 %, 2nd 15%, 3rd 10% 4th 25% 5th 15% and 6th 10% ties divide. We will try this for a couple months, and if people want we will continue.
