You IA guys/gals... help me out would you? I am coming to shoot your state shoot Wed-Thur-Friday. (with my wife in tow) Likely we will come down on Tuesday evening. My wife has to be back for church prep work on Saturday. But this is a mini-vacation for her and I.

    1) I would like some motel advice. A decent place at some nearby City/town.

    2) I want to rent a golf cart to ride around in while my wife is out doing what a wife does with a car and time on her hands.

Can you guys help me with this?

    Tahnks Jack

Adn if yuo guys have restaurant ideas and ideas for her to see something other than corn and beans, please let me know.

Thanks. Jack. Wife on my right

    Iowa man!!
At this late date you might check with the motels in Cedar Falls. There are usually cancellations that open up. This has worked for me in the past. Lots of places to eat as well there. We have been going for the last weekend for ten years. There are lots of guys that are there all week so they would have more input. We are staying in Waverly this year which is almost as close as Cedar Falls, but way less choice on places to dine. If you have a lot of money to lose, you could stay at the Casino on the South East side of Waterloo. I think it is called the Isle. Right off the 4 lane road about 15 minutes from the shoot.

Jack, go to RJ Stuarts website and download the Iowa program. You will see advertisements for motels and restaurants as well as the Waterloo Cedar Falls visitor information site. As far as a person to contact on the golf cart get a hold of Deb Olman, she can help you out there. Tell her I said to take care of you.

Isle of Capri is a new casino and there is usually a ladies trip on Thursday. There is also (usually) a VERY nice bingo/free luncheon held at the Holiday Inn, they usually have a bus to travel from the club. There is a nice shopping mall on the south edge of Waterloo. There will be someone at the club with a table of tourism stuff. Check with the Holiday Inn, they offer a shooters rate and it's a nice place. We have also stayed at the Best Western and it's nice. Come enjoy the hospitality, there's plenty to go around....
