The Ohio State shoot is winding down and with any organization we had some ups and downs.

    Here are the ups:

Day one entries were up 8.5% over last year
Day two entries were up 11.2% over last year
Day three entries were up 3 entries over last year
Day four entries were up 2% over last year
Day five entries were up 5% over last year

Nick Ranzau won the golf cart with the profits going to the OSTA foundation for scholastic scholarships.

7 of the 10 tagged fish were caught with the Nikon binoculars going to Hunter Meyerink from Michigan.

The Longaberger basket handicap shootoff for the ladies was well received, a lot of fun and will be back next year.

The corn hole tournament for flats of shells was a lot of fun for the shooters and will be back next year.

The special event had over 15K in it and was well received by the shooters.

Overall entries for this year were up 3.2% over last year

    Now for the downs.

Day 6 entries were down 4% for the day.

    Thanks

    Roger Edgington
    NE Zone Director

When you say broke them all today that includes 100 doubles also. His payout for doubles was over $1700. Birds today were far from perfect. Leo is on FIRE!!

Cardinal Center is a great place to shoot/camp. Heard rumors from a reliable source of upcoming improvements before next year. Thanks to the OSTA for putting on a well run shoot...we will come back!

Great looking homegrounds and OSTA Directors seemed to be on the go, constantly working.

Really appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality. Tournament Director Dysinger did a masterful job and helped to get the Trapshooting Hall of Fame Display (on short notice) set up in close proximity to the Central Entry Building.

Also enjoyed the Hog Roast and HOF Induction Ceremony.

Thanks to all who helped make my visit enjoyable and who stopped by to visit and talk history.

Pasted from the Illinois results thread.

HEY OHIO! Look here at the number of OS trophies that Illinois gives. These are very nice trophies too.

Maybe you should consider a few more if you want to continue to be such a big draw or just become another Wisconsin.

I really appreciated the bunker trap being open and available for use during the state shoot. Bryan

Maybe it is not the trophy's the shooters show up for??

A lot of threads on here about the Ohio state shoot but trophys has not been a subject. So at least it is not first thing on the shooters mind.
