Well, it looks as if Toyota has stubbed its toe again. They have suspended the sales of their flagship SUV the Lexus LX460. Seems as though there are issues that the magazine testers found that slipped through the cracks at Toyota.

It brings new meaning to their old slogan "Oh what a feeling"!

My tax dollars aren't being stolen to support Toyota like they are GM and their UAW welfare recipients. "Oh what a feeling" is right.

    I'm beginning to suspect taradiddle.

Back in 1989, Consumer Reports published a harsh review of the Suzuki Samuri for a tendency to roll over.

Yet they blew off the Ford Bronco II, which had a higher accident and fatality rate for rollovers than the Samuri.

You always have Subaru and Honda if you don't like Toyotas....

UAW and Government Motors are not for most of us!

    SS,

It's actually the GX460. They are 2 completely differnet vehicles. And the GX is by no means Lexus's Flagship SUV.

GX/LX what's the difference. It's still an over-priced SUV that is dead in the water. This will greatly hinder the sales of any more, and those that have already purchased will take an even bigger hit in resale.

It's just great to read about all the problems Toyota is having after reading for so long about how the sun rises and sets around them.

Seems to me that I've never heard of a GM SUV with roll-over issues.

    SS,

Actually there is a HUGE difference between the 2. In GM terms that's like saying the Envoy and the Escalde are the same thing.

It blows me away the way you put down a company that over 95% of the money made on a vehicle stays here in the US. It supports US workers. It supports: Drivers, Parts manufacturers, Service Techs, Sales Personel, Details, Porters, Receptionists, etc... that are your friends and neighbors. Although I guess you probably don't care about them either. Hmmm.

    Curt,
I respectfully disagree about the 95% money staying in the us, I do however respect your opinion to buy the product that you think is the best use of your dollar. I have been in the automobile service business for MANY years, and I have continually seen our jobs got to other countries weather it be NAFTA GATT etc. all democrat supported and sponsored and the unions continually support the democrats the same way minorities do. And the democrat party continues to poop on them. If you read some of the trade publications it is criminal the number of American jobs the obama administration has cost America through cash for clunkers, the attack on Toyota, transfer of ownership of GM, or Chrysler to the UAW etc.. I'm in Fla., he just came down to tell us how many "future" MASA jobs he will create, however the estimates is we will lose up to 23000 NASA jobs. If you Google Orlando Sentential, NASA, Muslim it will amaze you where he thinks OUR NASA dollars should be spent. Developing space programs in under developed muslim countries. Pleas don't think I'm attacking you I'm not but I for one will default to Capitalism (personal economic freedom of choice ) over socialism any day.

    Just my $.02

The 95% number comes from the Toyota's that are built here in the US. As you
know Toyota has plants all over the country. From: Indiana, Kentucky, Texas,
California. Most of the vehicles sold in the US now are built in the US by
guys/girls just like us. However, I understand where you are coming from.

I grew up at the Gun Club so I learned most of my politics there. I am blown
away by my generations support for Obama. It blows me away that they don't
realize we/our children are going to be the ones paying for all of his "change." I pray everyday he is a 1 and done president.

It definitely appears that our leaders are trying to turn our country towards socialism. Which is very scary for myself, my wife, and my 2 year old. I feel horrible for her knowing that she is the one who will pay for most of the mistakes made today.

I'll definitely look up the article you referred.
