    > Here it is, folks, and it is bad news. The framework for
legislation is always laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything
they want to impose upon us. They really do not believe you need anything more
than a brick to defend your home and family. Look at the list and see how many
you own. Remember, it is registration, then confiscation. It has happened in the
UK, in Australia, in Europe, in China, and what they have found is that for some
reason the criminals do not turn in their weapons, but will know that you did.
    >
    > Remember, the first step in establishing a dictatorship is to
    disarm the citizens.
    >
    > Gun-ban list proposed. Slipping below the radar (or under the
short-term memory cap), the Democrats have already leaked a gun-ban list, even
under the Bush administration when they knew full well it had no chance of
passage (HR 1022, 110th Congress). It serves as a framework for the new list the
Brady's plan to introduce shortly. I have an outline of the Brady's current
plans and targets of opportunity. It's horrific. They're going after the courts,
regulatory agencies, firearms dealers and statutes in an all out effort to
restrict we the people. They've made little mention of criminals. Now more than
ever, attention to the entire Bill of Rights is critical. Gun bans will impact
our freedoms under search and seizure, due process, confiscated property,
states' rights, free speech, right to assemble and more, in addition to the
Second Amendment. The Democrats current gun-ban-list proposal (final list will
    be worse):

originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on
the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting
purposes, as determined by the Attorney General."
    >
    > Note that Obama's pick for this office, Eric Holder, wrote a brief
in the Heller case supporting the position that you have no right to have a
working firearm in your own home. In making this determination, the bill says,
"there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the
United States military or any law enforcement agency is not particularly
suitable for sporting purposes, and shall not be determined to be particularly
suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in
a sporting event." In plain English this means that ANY firearm ever obtained by
federal officers or the military is not suitable for the public.
    >
    > The last part is particularly clever, stating that a firearm
doesn't have a sporting purpose just because it can be used for sporting purpose
-- is that devious or what? And of course, "sporting purpose" is a rights
infringement with no constitutional or historical support whatsoever, invented
by domestic enemies of the right to keep and bear arms to further their cause of
    disarming the innocent.

From the hard to read post: <i>"A semiautomatic pistol that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine, and has: > (i) a second pistol grip,"</i>

Idiots. It's ALREADY a felony to put a second pistol grip on a hand gun without a tax stamp. It's classified as an AOW (Any Other Weapon). It requires a tax stamp, just as a machinegun does. I know, I went through the months long process to have my Kel-Tec PLR-16 legally converted to an AOW. These idiots don't even know the existing laws, yet they are hell bent on making more.

And this: <i>"A semiautomatic pistol that has the ability to accept a detachable magazine, and has: > (i) a second pistol grip, > (ii) a threaded barrel"</i>.

So now my TARGET Buckmark will be an "assault weapon" because it has a threaded barrel.

It get worse: <i>" A semiautomatic rifle that accepts a detachable magazine and has: (ii) a threaded barrel"</i>.

So now SPORTING 10-22 rifles are "assault weapons" as well.

Where are the liberal "useful idiots" here (1) who tell us no one is trying to take our guns or (2) the other "useful idiot" Fudds who tell us that sporting firearms will be exempt?

Why the surprise?.....I told you so.....I warned you.....and wait until he appoints his anti-gun Supreme Court Justices!

Any person who valued private gun ownership and contributed to the re-election of Obama by either voting for a third party candidate or not voting is......

    AN IMBECILE! IMBECILE!

Sorry, but the imbeciles apparently were those who nominated Romney, since only 32% of registered Republicans even voted in the election. Good pick.

But But, who is it on here that has been telling(LIE'S)us that no democrat/liberal has EVER taken away any firearms from US!!

Enacting laws and regulations on what is allowed and what isn't, is a outright attack on the word "infringed"!!

And if YOU DON'T believe or understand THAT, read the debates concerning HOW and WHAT "words" the Founders wanted to make up the "Second Amendment"!

YES! you liberals/democrats, words do have MEANINGS, weather YOU like them or not!!

No....faulty logic on your part....there was an election and only one of two people was going to get elected....there was choice A or choice B...PERIOD.

It was a matter of gun rights survival...one candidate openly supported anti-gun judges and will appoint anti-gun Supreme Court Justices....

If you could not see who was the GREATER EVIL to gun rights....you need to seek professional help!

Which is exactly why the GOP will lose again in 2016, since they can't even figure out what went wrong in 2008 and 2012 with their plan to nominate a gun banning RINO who turned off 68% of their own party. Brilliant thinking. Maybe they'll figure it out by 2020.

    Ok you told us so.

We have no party to represent us, you guys made your point.

Those of you who did not or could not help select a better candidate, or were to proud to give up your independent status and vote (holding your nose) for Romney, voted for Ron Paul, now what??

Who should have been on the ticket? As I recall everybody else gave up.

I doubt if anyone could have won other than Obama.

This country is now occupied by a different type of voter who is now the majority.

Surrender your guns and move on.

Accept the fact Democrats will be in charge from now on, long after we are all gone.

I will hold my final judgement until we win the Super Bowl, but it does look like things have turned around.

We are still hurting on our running game and with McGahee out, it looks grim.

" how would I really feel if these kind of weapons took the life of someone that I loved"

I have yet to see, hear or read of ANY gun taking someone's life. Guns are quite simply inanimate objects.

Zlastone, what a crock! I know lot's of guys and ladies with "black" guns of one kind or another, and not a single one that's just waiting for a chance to use them on someone else. I don't want any but I sure understand the reason others enjoy having them and shooting them. I think you are completely off base here.

    And spoons made Rosie fat!
