Got this e-mail today. If this is BS, I will delete it, but if this is true, Obama will be the worst president ever for America, and for sportsmen, if he isn't already now. Many people have died defending our constitution.

I looked this up on snopes, and they have nothing yet.

    LET THE FIGHT BEGIN

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009

    It has already started....

    Ammunition Accountability Legislation

Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!

The bill 20 that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.

Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand loaded ammo.)

They will also charge a ....05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama , Arizona , California , Connecticut , Hawaii , Illinois , Indiana , Kentucky , Maryland , Mississippi , Missouri , New Jersey , New York , Pennsylvania , Rhode Island , South Carolina , Tennessee , and Washington ..

Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!

To find more about the anti-gun group that is sponsoring this legislation and the specific legislation for each state, go to:

As far as I know this bill is true (At least in Illinois), but I am not sure if any of this involved Obama. Of course many on this site would like to put the blame on him, but I am not sure.

It seems highly unlikely that even if it does become law that ammo makers could have the encoding equipment up and running in time for the June 30th deadline. How are they going to encode shot in a shell?

Guy, I don't live day to day thinking gloom and doom. I can't, that BS will wear your azz down. I've been around alittle bit of time, not as long as some of you guys, and longer than others. BUT! this ammo marking BS went around 25 years ago. What got marked? NOTHING! What is a mark? You, I and the next guy don't have anything to fear about this anyway. We are law abiding sportsman. A criminal will remove any mark that is necessary. A crazed lunitic doesn't care if it is marked or not. I have to see something more than this talk to believe it. It came up for talk 25 years ago, it will come up in another 25 years.

He is already the biggest socialist president we ever had. With more and more government interference in our lives he will be the worst president we ever had. Before he is done only the hard core people that live off government handouts will admit they voted for him.

This marking of ammunition is pure crap, just more liberal garbage. The gun already leaves marks on ammo that can be matched by CSI types...Bill

Does it matter if obama came up with the idea? And no he didn't, BUT he would surely sign it into law if he got the chance!

Trappy for the last 8 years everything that went wrong was GW's fault, right? You were right in there blaming him for everything you could. Now you don't want to blame someone if you are not sure? YOU PATHETIC LIBERALS!

Spanky, you keep it up and the libs will make you their poster child! Bury your head in the sand and you won't see it slip thru and onto obama's desk for signing. Sooner or later this bill and many many others that fail over and over will all get passed, after our guard is dropped.

The dems are going after all aspects of our lives sheople, I do not understand why so many are so apathetic about our future, our kids have been indoctrinated by our liberal education system(just look at trappy for proof)!
That is what got obama elected this time- our children! Brainwashed zombies that we allowed to happen.

It won't stop with our guns or our cars, take a look at HR875 AND SB425 folks, after they take our money and our freedom they are going to make organic farming and gardening a criminal offense. That way after we are broke we won't even be able to grow our own produce to provide our own food. Saving seed a criminal offense? Yes indeed!

It's about over sheople, there is a good chance this country won't be around to be saved in 2010!

Come on give the Kid (Trappy) credit, this is the first post of his that he wasn't absolutely sure of. Before it's over, I feel he will have a change of his political views. J.Woolsey

I researched my state. It's the same crap they were trying to pass last year, and they are going to try and pass it again this year and every year. We need stand together and be vigilant. We need to vote these anti-american socialist commies out of office.

I heard they were going to require firing pins to micro code the ammo when fired.

This is easily in the realm of technology.

Legislators are going to have to be swamped in complaints.

I just sent a fax to my Senator regarding the destruction of fired ammo formerly sold to reloaders.

Well it appears that McCain didn't touch every sportsman, gun owner and shooting enthusiast with the way the election went. It's pretty bad when a guy feels he has to vote/register a particular party just to help keep his guns and gun freedom. Some elections it works some elections it doesn't. That's the only reason some of us even vote. It was one empty suit vs. another empty suit. If the election would have went McCains way, outside of possibly not have my 2nd amendment rights being infringed upon so greatly and a panic buying of handgun ammo, there wouldn't been any difference in the economic situation we all are facing. It would be the same or possibly worse. I know I'm sick and @#$%'n tired of seeing everything I worked for go down the s#!^^er because of some lame azz system that was allowed to be run out of control for the last 10 or 15 years. Yeah........ the same 'ole.....same 'ole.......this guys plan, that guys plan, it's all BS we're made to swallow.

I've heard Maryland's ammo marking program has turned out to be a total bust. They haven't been able to resolve one case directly with this program. Complete waste of money and resources.

"there wouldn't been any difference in the economic situation we all are facing."

That is not true. McCain would not have signed either the Porkulus Bill nor the Budget Bill with 9000 earmarks in it. He also would not have appointed a tax cheat to be in charge of the whole mess.

He didn't get a chance to appoint anyone. But, somewhere along that road of those possible appointees at least one would have had dirt, stains or skid marks in his (her) past. I wouldn't take that road that all the saints are in one party. Over the years they all have been stealing.

    dkusner,

For 32 years the honorable law abiding citizens of D.C. (and other areas as well) had THEIR right to possess a handgun,,denied!! Denied!! Do you see any difference between confiscation, and denied the right to posses?? I DON'T!!

It had already happened, just not to you yet. The Supreme Court case Heller vs D.C. decision was a 5 to 4 ruling, narrowly for the individual right to own. All it would have taken,,is one more liberal,,just one more,, and your home could have been surrounded by a SWAT team, while you are inside, peeing your pants.

I stand in amazement at anyone, anyone, that states it won't happen...It had already happened. Period.

My personal preference would be to start over. Clean house and remove everyone in office or atleast a 2 term limit, period. Once elected, you're done. No jumping from House to Senate, etc. Travel reimbursed to the Washington or the Statehouse, minimal pay, no life long insurance or retirement. No long term perks. Tax evaders, criminals not allowed.
