On TV this morning he is warning that if they don't pass this bill we will have a catastophy. I guess he thinks we don't already have one? This guy is out to lunch. I really do not think he has all his bulbs lit.

I wonder how he is going to lay the blame on the Republicans (GWB) when the Congress and Senate are and have been controlled by the Democrates ... I guess we'll see how smooth he really is now ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

It is so easy to see the irony in all this. The media told us every day of the Bush administration that it was the worst economy since the Great Depression. This despite his economy averaging better than Clintons, which they thought was the best ever, throughout his term. They stepped it up to get Obama elected. Every day the sky is falling, the sky is falling and only Obama and the Democrats can save us. Now they finally got their wish. But look who is in charge. Obama and the Democrats. They are pathetic to watch. You can tell they don't have a clue what they are doing. Our real troubles come from our existing socialism and the looming 50 trillion dollar debt hanging over our heads. And what is the answer from Obama and the Democrats? More socialism, bigger government, more wasteful federal spending, less freedom. Now the sky really is falling. And their biggest failures in foreign affairs are yet to come. You are witnessing the disintegration of what was the greatest nation the world had ever seen. Years of liberalism and immorality have finally caught up with us. The most evil generation of Americans ever born, the baby boomers, are finally running the show. And they don't have a clue what they are doing. The generation that said they would never grow up. But now there are no grownups left to run the country.

We are all to blame for that for buying foreign made products over American products. Even when the foreign products aren't any better. It became popular to trash American made and buy foreign.

It works both ways. We export grain by the million tons. We buy cheap tv's and computers. You can't have it both ways.

Obama has already proven he is an idiot at best and a crook at worst with his appointment of a bunch of tax cheats. What, no one asked them "Do you owe any taxes?"

We already knew that Pelosi and Reid were crooks, liars and incompetents and Bambi has turned over the running of the Country to those two buffoons because, after all, his government experience is voting "Present" a 130+ times as a State Senator and being in Washington all of 143 days as a US Senator.

    What did you expect?

Until we put term limits on congress and the senate and outlaw lobbyists nothing is going to change in Washington no matter who is in control. Let's face it, big corporate America runs our country not our elected officials. It's time to take it back!!!

Rick,,,,you can BLAME the "greedy company CEO's",,,,but it is the consumer that ultimately dictates the price that they will pay,,,,just look at the discount chains, the "sales" that the major stores have,,,,consumers have finally come to the point that we can't WASTE our money,,,,wish the government would realize this,,,,Christmas discount sales started last year in September,,,,so just what is the "greedy company CEO's" supposed to do,,,,go out of business or figure another way to get the price cheaper,,,,while I don't believe in tariffs,,,,it may come to this to be on EQUAL footing with the other governments that subsidize their job force!!!!!

We have brought down the global economy along with us-

That tells me we have tremendous buying power.

We have the workforce and own the market. We just need a driving force to get American products jump started. WE need tools to level the playing field with China and all the other commie suppliers.

I think It will require great hardship for people to understand this but it looks like hardship is on the way and somtimes it takes "blood in the sreets" to get the "sheepole" to wake up.

Careful, highflyer, all of us arn't "evil". I am a "baby boomer" and my political views are somewhat to the right of Attila the Hun, at least on fiscal issues.hehe However, I do feel somewhat like a "voice crying in the wilderness" at times, although most of my close friends are very conservative. America is a land of opportunity, always has been. Unfortunately, the major "opportunities" for too long have not required the exercise of personal intiate and talent, but rather but to take advantage of the latest bs govenment give away program. There are too many of them at present to begin to list, including those for "corporate welfare". The current economic mess is a direct and proximate result of this meddling with the social structure by wealth redistribution and other misguided efforts to "make everthing fair" or "make everything better". These fools actually believe this can have a positive result. I wasn't around when Roosevelt was in office and this ideology took root on these shores. However, I would venture to guess that there are more "poor" people in this country today than there were in the 60's when Lyndon Johnson annoounced the onset of his "Great Society". At the age of 14, I campaingned against that lousy b-----d and everyone since who has espoused a similar liberal ideology.

"White House Press Secretary on Release of AQ Khan

World | Fri, Feb 6, 2009 at 11:31:10 am PST

At today’s press briefing, this was Robert Gibbs’ response to a question about whether Barack Obama is concerned about the release of nuclear black marketeer A.Q. Khan:

Q: Is the President concerned that Pakistani nuclear scientist A.Q. Khan will be a proliferation risk, now that he’s been released from house arrest? And will he renew the US request for him to be interviewed by US intelligence?

Gibbs: Uh, obviously we’ve seen the reports of the release, but have not received, uh, have yet to receive official word, uh, from the government. Uh. Obviously this President has made clear, uh, many times, the great concern he has for nuclear proliferation, uh, and, uh, as we hear from the government about, uh, these reports, uh, obviously, uh, the President, uh, and this government want assurances that, uh, that Dr. Khan is not involved or engaged in, uh, any of the activity, uh, uh, that resulted in, uh, in, in his house arrest earlier."

Another tax cheat, 16 year tax cheat, is nominated by hussein for Labor Secretary. Maybe Dick Morris is right.

"Solis' nomination had already been delayed for nearly a month when a newspaper reported Thursday that unpaid tax liens on a California auto repair business owned by Solis' husband were settled this week for about $6,400."

    Shannon,

The problem is we no longer have to tools to jump start the American work force because they have all been sold to China and others who have taken over the jobs that drove the American people ... This has been slowly happening over the years and goes back a lot farther than GWB's tour in the White House ... Now, the people who own the tools are the ones who are in power, problem being they don't know who to use the tools they have acquired so the Global economy comes to a screeching halt ... The same people who sold the tools have since moved on and there is no way to replace the tools because the people who made the tools in the first place are no longer in existance ... You want to talk about deep s&*t, we are in it up to our ears and sinking fast ... The tools are gone and probably in a warehouse someplace and nobody has the key to get in, if they did they probably wouldn't know what they were looking at and junk everything ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
