When Dear Leader Chairman Maobama does this ... when would it happen?

I like to get out of the way of the premptive massive selloff that is sure to occur.

The way the housing market and the stock market have been for the past year, not too many people have to worry about paying any Capital GAINS taxes.

Ask some of those who lost money in their MF account only to find out last month they also owed taxes from imbedded CG's. Their fund manager needed something to make his losses less and have better returns so they get their names in Money magazine.

With all the loses we taken in the market, that could be a blessing. We could take those loses as regular income. That would save us a bunch.

No matter how much you lost, you can only claim $3000 of it in a year (though you can claim another $3000 of it next year). People have probably got enough losses to last them into the next century. Also, if it a loss in an IRA, you can't claim it at all, it's gone.

So, What is the real plan behind raising cap gains if few people will have enough gains to pay?

It is Obama still on the campaign trail. No matter the result the 51% who elected him and do not work or pay taxes won't understand anything beyond Obama is taking from the rich and giving to them. One more redistribution promise kept.
