Obama found a way around 2nd ammendment

    I am not sure as to why you worry about a document almost 2 years old... Further, a little research clearly suggests that there is strong legal position that the U S Constitution would have legal power above an international treaty (read second url for specifics).

    Essentially what happens is that a reference to treaties being 'the supreme law of the land' is taken out of context - in context the lead in states the Constitution before treaties as being the 'supreme law of the land.'

    Hence any treaty would need to pass constitutional muster (albeit something that has never been tried before SCOTUS). There would also need to be legislative action as well - the Executive would have real problems trying to take this step with out at least a nod from the Congress and the Senate.

    This is another crackpot post-- not that Obama is riding high at the moment but posters who just pass this stuff on and entitle it something really need to think about what they are doing and if this makes them look like crackpots.

    Sure, we all know Obama is working hard to protect and preserve our constitutional rights especially the First and Second Amendments.
