I don't know, but he has been purported to go by Saul Alinksy's Rules for Radicals. Alinsky was not a professor, though he looks like one.

"Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals" by Saul D. Alinsky? "What follows is for those who want to change the world from what it is to what they believe it should be. The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-Nots on how to take it away."

Obama Teaches the Alinsky principles of "Power Analysis" and "Relationships built on self-interest" as seen written upon this blackboard; Alinsky keywords.

Don't forget some of the political lessons in Mein Kampf are being used too.

All goes back to the "Progressive Movement" around the turn of the century. Many "Progressives" where communists and socialists. They still are. They have infiltrated the general population of our schools from K thru grad schools. The term Progressive has been become a legitimate term in American politics. In reality they have successfully taken over the Democat Party and turned it into a dupe for the communists and socialists.

The NEA is a union organized and run by progressives.

We American traditionalists need to end the NEA's clutch on our schools, the curriculum and our children. If we don't you can kiss the "American Way" good buy. It's almost in the rear view mirror now.

The NEA is run by a bunch of self serving narcissists who think they are actually smart enough to make Marxism work. Evidently, they have never taken time to read Platos "REPUBLIC" or "The CONFESSIONS of AUGUSTINE", or many or the other great thinkers. These men actually understood human nature, the barrier to marxist and socialist social control programs. Any social/government plan that does not account for human nature will fail, even if it is enforced with a brutally heavy police presence such as we see in red china. Without the NEA lobbists twisting the intentions of our fore fathers original Christian centered society, we would still have the America that we Loved and still long for.

You see, alot of us haven't, until recently, been paying attention to the core ideologies of our elected officials. Neither have we been noticing the employment track of the radicals amongst us. Remember the sixties, the hippies, free love and drugs? This is the same tribe, some of the same people, just older. Nothing has changed where their political leanings and goals are concerned. We figured they'd "see the light" once they got a little older and made a little more money. Just a phase. Oh, horror! We've subsequently learned progressives have been indoctrinating our children in the public schools for years (a generation), they've infiltrated our seminaries, the media, and have been elected to high office. Now they've become so powerful that they're actually in a position to do what we never thought would happen - destroy the country. I sincerely, sincerely hope it's not too late. If their wish to grant amnesty to the illegal immigrants is fulfilled, it's too painful to contemplate our outcome. Personally, I didn't pay attention many years ago when I should have because I didn't see the threat.

It's more than a threat Charlene.

Our Secretary of State and her husband both, proudly proclaim that they are "progressives." The current president might as well be the reincarnation of Alinsky. A true enemy of social freedom.

This Forbes article can explain a lot.

    How Obama Thinks
The President isn't exactly a socialist. So what's driving his hostility to private enterprise? Look to his roots.

Parsing political philosophies is a nice academic exercise, but unfortunately there are 80 "card carrying" progressives in our Congress. Then the czars, cabinet, recent SCOUS additions...To paraphrase a Jimmy Durante line, "We're surrounded by assassins!"

Got to clean house in a meaningful way and trounce immigration amnesty because he's got two more years of dismantling ahead of him.

My friends, please read the article by Dinesh DeSouza about Obama. It explains EVERYTHING! Obama's slef-admitted philosophy comes from hi Marxiast father as Obama points out in his boo, "Dreams Form My Father". The tiltle exopalins it all. His dreams are his father's dreams, a drunken, profligate Marxist! America is being ruled by the ghost of this ne'er do well tribesman.

"Any social/government plan that does not account for human nature will fail"

This sentence is the most important point one can make when trying to understand or plan concepts involving economics, politics, culture, business, or anything else humans are involved in.

Barry - tread softly when comparing Progessives. Theodore Roosevelt was a Progressive. He was a conservative sportsman, and started the wildly successful National Park program. He was a bit of a hybrid in that he tried to instill(some)regulatory controls over the mega-corporations of the time, and at the same time took conservative stands on political issues. Teddy regularly met with the steel, manufacturing and utility millionaires and tried to get them to be better employers; while holding the Federal Regulation stick over their heads.

Progressive is a misunderstood & mis-used term. It has different meanings releative to the timeline. Today, it seems to be used as an adjective rather than an affiliation or ideology. It sounds current for candidates to say " I am progressive or I am a Progressive'....

Many politicians today are searching for some term to identify their position other than Democrat or Republican.

For me, I would ask any "progessives" if they shoot trap or hunt & how many guns they own in their home & have they taken the time to instruct their children how to handle a firearm or cast a plug under an over hanging branch. Also, do they have much personal debt and do they pay off their credit cards monthly?

That would help me define their position on many issues.
