Soccer.... Its a great game for Children and Girls. Its been said that Soccer is in America's future and always will be.

Now real football is played in Fall on College campuses across the US on Saturday Afternoon.

Why would you play a game that you can't use your hands???? It's no wonder our American kids drop it like a boring book by the time they are 12 years old, and start enjoying games that you can use all your extremities. Wayne

Yeah the USA played to a tie and they were happy? 1-1 tie after all that time. And I thought Curling was boring.

World Cup Soccer? I'll probably watch some of the games.

And there must be something to it. I mean, virtually EVERY human on the planet who is not a US citizen is obsessed about it.

I really think you can trace the decline of the USA to the growth of soccer in this country.

It's a game that has always been played by socialist/commies and Euro trash. Back when Ike was president I bet you couldn't find more than a half dozen soccer balls in the whole country! Now look at it. Commies and soccer players everywhere. Accident?? I think not.

It has always been a commie plot. Put em out in Mao uniforms with no name or numbers on uniform and have em work in obscurity!!

I rather be dead than Red. I'ld rather be dead than watch a soccer game.

Some of you Americans amaze me, your attitude that it if it is not American it is no good. In American football your players wear a ton of protective gear, play a few seconds then stop for a chat to agree what to do next. Your players do not play the full game time, you have your defensive players then your offensive players and kickers who only come on to kick. Football ( soccer ) is named because it is played with the feet ( logical ) and the players play the whole game time. For those of you who want a real man's game try Rugby either Union or League. No protective padding and helmets and they play the whole game time. Maurice ( The Brit. )

Condense the action of an NFL game down into actual playing time and you're talking about a few minutes. Big deal. Pads - they're for pansies. There are very few NFL players who would get a look for a soccer team - linemen are a joke as athletes. Five to six seconds of effort, oh, I need a break now, let's get our wind, reset and start over. Or maybe I can take a break over on the sidelines. Jeez what a joke. ANd don't get me started on basketball, I went to the zoo once and I saw they had trained the seals to put a ball in the hoop - how hard can that game be? Baseball, now that one I will admit I love the game.
Anyway - the entire world is watching the world cup and they don't care if the USA is interested or not. You either will come along and join in or be left out in the cold.
Truth be told if the USA team was any good then there would be huge interest domestically.
