Well, we have had a scotch, beer, bourbon, vodka, and rotgut review. I thought we would add another. With a fine meal prepared at home, or at a nice restaurant....what do you drink? Beer, hard liquor, wine, coke, sprite, water, etc.?

If it's brewed, iced tea. "House wine of the south".

Juice, milk, tea or diet cola. On rare occasions a microbrew or wine.

    Memo to employees:

There's nothing wrong with starting the day out with a Bloody Mary or two. If you need a pick-me-up about mid-morning, a little Bailey's in your coffee will do the trick. We all like our three-Martini lunches, and Irish Coffee with desert is understandable. A high ball or two at tea time makes the afternoon go faster. You should have a beer or three with friends before dinner. Pick a nice bottle of wine with dinner, and a good Brandy or two helps the digestion. A hot toddy will make you sleep well.

But this damned habit of sip, sip, sip all day long has got to stop!

    The Management.

With a "fine dinner", I'll usually drink a glass of wine and some ice water too.

At a restaurant, I prefer water as they usually charge too much for tea or coffee.
Before the meal, a Chivas Regal with water (maybe two of them!) is great and depending on the entre maybe a glass of wine.

After the meal a nice after dinner drink is nice.

It used to be a couple of beers. After a bout with pancreatitus it is good old water. The doc eliminated alcohol and I cut way back on pop (now my limit is one per day).

    Jim Skeel,

Do you think your doc performs better now that he has stopped drinking?
