Looks like a family vacation to Virginia Beach this summer. Any info on beach houses or good places to stay? Also what area attractions should we look into? Thanks for any info, Paul Baker

You will be close enough to spend some time at busch gardens theme park and williamsburg.....been to both and loved it.Also was at the beach, stayed in Dolphin inn, not sure if it's there anymore, but it was right on the beach.
We all had fun, would love to go back again.

Great place for family vacations. Have been there four times with the family. Was there last summer and the summer before.
Busch Gardens is up in Williamsburg maybe an hour away. Also a water park (can't remember the name). There is also tours of Colonial Wiliamsburg. We usually do 5 days at the beach and 2 in Williamsburg. If you are into shopping there is also a prime outlet mall there.
Not sure how old your kids are. At Virginia Beach there is obviously the beach. Just outside of tow there is a large complex with several go-kart tracks and mini golf layouts. There are also the water activities like boat tours, parasailing, and dolphin watching. There are fishing charters or you can rent gear and fish right off the pier.
Lots of police presence so day or night we have always felt safe. Two years ago and to a lesser degree last year there were a lot of street entertainers.
If you are taking your gun I hear the range at Oceana air station is open again. You may be able to get some practice in or if lucky there may be a shoot on.
Depending on what you like to eat you might want to check out Captain George’s seafood buffet (you won't leave hungry). For a good steak dinner in a nice atmosphere check out Blue Pete's.
    Hope that helps.
