I've had my S&W 66-1 since 1983, with the original S&W leather holster made by Galco. It was made in 1981. It's a service revolver I bought from a LEO when they went to Semi-autos. I've only put a couple of hundreds through it. I found an older Taurus PT-92 in mint condition, wood grips, frame safety, 2-15 round mags. Thinking about an even trade. I rarely shoot the 66.

    What do you think? thanks,

    Wayne

I wouldn't trade a Smith & Wesson for a Taurus. But, if the Taurus really excites you...then why not. It's just stuff.

    NO!

If it was a Beretta 92 maybe.

Keep shooting the 66 over the Taurus

I saw a used 2 1/2 inch model 66 in an ACE hardware store the other day and they wanted $500 for it. It was not a pinned barrel model like yours. I don't think the Taurus would be worth that much but hey, its your gun.

The 66 is a classic. The Taurus is a poor copy of a Beretta 92.

I saw someone trade in a BMW in the "Cash for Clunkers" deal and buy a Ford Fiesta. To each his own.
