    Iowa man!!
Lit, we have 3 feet of snow west of Des Moines. I think the southern boys are a bit better off, but it's not gonna happen in central Iowa for a long time if ever this year.

I had planned on coming to Des Moines for Pheasant Fest next weekend (from Tennessee). How are the roads leading into Des Moines coming in from the south and in town? Any information is appreciated.

I work in Nazareth Pa. And the autobon soc. made an estimated count at the towns Quarry. That day the quarry wasn't as full as it normally is but made an estimated quess of 18,200 snows and 2400 Canadians. Some days this quarry looks like a snow bank. One can not see water, as if you could walk across them on their backs. The quarry measures 1.3 miles long and 1/2 mile at its widest point. The people that work there have great goose hunts. By the way, I work there......hehehehe..... I just hate myself.

Lit, last year Hudicky killed the first snow on feb. 26. Got 2 ft. of snow on the ground now with a 7 ft. drift in front of the barn door where the decoys are. Birds will be thru cental ks. & ne before we get the spread out. I've got a great field. If I call, come fast, it won't last long.

We are anxious for Spring up here in South Dakota. There is so much snow around right now. We are ready when the snow geese can move up to us. Should be great hunting in MO for awhile.

I've never had the pleasure but I've heard that they make remarkable table fare
when taken in the spring.......something that you just can't forget. Do any of you have a favorite recipe?

Here's a couple for you to try.

cut into cubes and fry in a pan with a little olive oil. After they are done put a little of your favorite sauce in there for a couple minutes and serve. Our favorite sauce is made by Virginia Brand and is called Vidalia Onion Vinegarette

    OR

Cut into strips and put in crock pot with 1 cup water and Lipton Onion Soup mix

    Hope this helps

    Enjoy
