I realize this is probably the craziest question in some time on here, but has anyone else found sleeping on the floor a lot more restful? I was having trouble sleeping last night tossing and turning til about 1am, then got the crazy idea to try laying down on the floor. I was out in a matter of minutes, and woke up with the most restful nights sleep i've had in a LONG time even though I only got about 60% sleep time as normal.

How is your bed? is it overly soft? If so maybe the floor felt good to you.Jeff

Skeet Man, I recently finished a job and moved my travel trailor home for a couple of weeks. The bed in the trailor is hard and we got used to it. The bed at home is a queen size but it's a little softer than the bed in the trailor. Took me over a week to get used to the softness of it. I like the hard bed best. I also believe you will get a better nights sleep on the firmer mattress. Dan

I go to sleep on the line. It is not very restful. I get much more rest watching a football game in my recliner. I go to sleep in that chair just as easy as I go to sleep on the line.

I take Viagra to keep from rolling out of bed. Never liked sleeping on the floor.

I am with Pat. NASCAR, Football, and a recliner can't be beat for getting some good sleep. Hippie, Velcro doesn't hurt as much! LOL Omaha

Two related comments that have helped me feel better.

First, while deer hunting, I sleep in a camper bed made by dropping the table top down to seat height. The mattress of sorts is the seat back cushions and is very hard and flat. I cover the mattress with a wool blanket. As such, the bed is hard, flat and warm. Sleeping on this is like a tonic in that I feel great when I wake up.

Second, I have added Dr. School’s air pillow inserts to all of my shoes and boots. This has eliminated a leg pain and cramp not unlike sciatic nerve pain. Without the inserts, I would get a burning sensation from the back of my thigh through the leg and into the underside of my right foot when I was on my feet all day in a classroom or after reloading shells. After using the inserts for about a week, the pain went away.

I was at a friend place in FL and the bed was soft and poor. I pulled the mattress off the bed and put it on the floor. It was better for my back and I to slept better.
