Did Smith and Wesson make 629 Classics (44 mag) in a 7 and 1/2 or 7 and 3/8 inch barrel configuration, (that wasn't a Lew Horton special or a Performance Center model), with a fluted cylinder? If so, would they have the same book value as the 6 and 1/2 in barrel models? Any information would be appreciated, John E.

Looking thru the Blue Book I didn't find a 629 Classic 7 & 1/2 in bbl that was not a Performance Center model. The were a number of P.C 629's that were exclusively distributed by other than L.H.

    I thought that those Model 29's were in 6 1/2" and 8 3/8" barrels.
