    RETIREMENT PLANNING FOR 2008

If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have $49.00 left

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling REFUND, you would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink heavily and recycle.

    It's called the 401-Keg Plan

I know you didn't dream that up, it had to come from the email fairy.

    Pretty good, anyway.

This thread should be deleted as it encourages the misuse of alcoholic beverages which will have horrendous consequences for most people.

It is not "Trap" related and glorifies poor behavior!!

Don't fight the FED !!!!--it takes 9-12 months for the rate cuts to really kick in-interest sensitive stocks will really start to move----t--in about 9 to 10 months housing inventories will be down, go with builders of premium houses, major appliance builders, & home deport, lowes, etc---buy the best of the best-----Phil

If you had invested $ 1000 in Remington STS shells a year ago, your investment would be worth $ 1,600.

The scary part is, I think old Curtie was serious! I am glad we have some "big brothers" on this site to keep me on the straight and narrow! Tom Rhoads

    Tom,

Now you see why we need "Moderator's".....what I wrote in sarcasm, you took as serious!

And it's Curt...use your elementary school rhetoric elsewhere!

Sorry to offend you Curt, but glad to see you were being sarcastic and not serious! Some on here would have been serious! By the way, some of my friends call me Tommy and it does not offend me at all! Tommy Rhoads
