Hi Folks, I know there's a few Taxidermy people here. The question I have is, what's the best thing to clean mounted animals with? Also, how do you go about it? I have a mule deer, pronghorn antelope, and drake old squaw duck. Any here would be appreciated. Thanks David

I have been a taxidermist for 32 years, I tell all to clean the dust from mounts I done with a damp cloth and wipe with the hair. If you let it get in a bad way I have used compresed air and Taxidermy Majic to give the shine back in the hair, the hair must be groom after applied. Birds are a different story, I use a verry soft new paint brush and brush with the feathers, never against the feathers or hair. Taxidermy Majic can be purchased from McKinzie Taxidermy supply. Hope this helps Ronnie
