Went to my Dads today and hooked up his new TV. Its a 32" Vizio. He is a WW11 vet and has a hard time with all the remotes. The first movie he puts in the DVD is Paint your Wagon with Clint Eastwood, Lee Marvin, and Jean Seberg. OMG what a fantastic movie, it is hilarious, and its a musical!! I highly recommend it.

Probably the worst movie ever made. If you start to watch it and see how bad it gets, it only gets worse. You think that maybe Lee Marvin is going to come along and smack some sense into the flock of idiots....but NOOoooooo, he becomes one himself and turns out to be an inflamed Jackass, just like everyone else in that movie.

I worked on the commercials for PYW back in the 70's. Everyone connected with the production knew it was stinker and the critics supported that. I guess Clint Eastwood singing works for some folks.

I have an extra two tape set of the movie, in VHS format, if anyone has an interest. Would have to check to see what I paid for the set. Ray

I remember seeing that movie when I was a youngster with my dad. I couldn't stop laughing then and now. Ya, I know it's a little corny, but still a good movie. Partner.

I do not care what movie critics say. When I see amovie I like, I enjoy it.
I liked Paint Your Wagon the first time I saw it and I still do. Very funny.

Saw parts of it at the drive in when it came out. Ah the days of a 1960 Olds 98 and drive ins. Things memories are made of. Jake

Jake, "Saw parts of it" LOL...

The memories of the drive-ins. I would go to see "any" movie there, just for the other activities...And my 63 Chevy convertible.

    Thanks for the memories...

Musicals normally make me feel like hanging myself, but Lee Marvin is pretty good even in those.

Check out his eyebrows in this interview when he was older. A few of them twangin out there a good 2 inches, LOL. Even Andy Rooney would laugh at those bad boys.
