Has anyone used one of the elastomeric coatings to seal/coat a metal roof? Is it worth renting one of the airless sprayers to do the job, or are you better using a roller?

A spray gun would make it easier, but it can be rolled on easily, you may have to put on more than one coat.

They make two kinds of that stuff, if water puddles anywhere on your roof, make sure that you use the type of coating for that, as the other will not stay adhered to the roof

There is a guy who has a shop up in New River, Az that has a metal roof on it and he put some stuff on it that they use on RV's and he swears by it ... The building is about 30 X 50 or so and it has a lot of roof so he said he didn't want to have to redo it ever few years which is why he used this stuff ... Check with an RV Dealer and see what they might have to fit your needs ... He rolled it on and did two coats, says its better than a rubber roof and cheaper also but not cheap by any means ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

S&W has a very good one that you can spray IT IS NOT CHEAP but will last. most any of the rest if you thin to spray it dont last long. It will also wind drift. Rolling takes more time but you can get more on. rick
