Which fifth wheel trailers are considered the "Cadillac" of fifth wheels?

While most of the equipment going into all RVs is generic, the difference from one to the next will be how it's put together. Then many manufacturers have a "Lite" line which may save weight and maybe money but may also give up sturdiness. Then manufacturers common in the west are rarely heard of in the east and so forth so it's really hard to answer your question simply. They are all too short when you're living in it but way too long while towing and maneuvering. Weight creates the need for a lot more truck while "lite" may result in flimsy and still at least a diesel PU. You simply must, like choosing a gun, really research and exam how they are put together, is the layout convenient with sliders open OR closed, is the generic equipment the top of the line, storage space and convenience, and the list goes on and on. You will likely find the perfect model, buy it, and immediately find flaws not noticed before.

All that said, some of the best examples I've seen were from the mid-west religious areas; one of them being the Carriage line.....breakemall.....Bob Dodd

The Doubletree Mobile Suites are considered one of the high end units. List price is on a new one is somewhere between $90,000 and $120,000.

Teton, Mountain Air, Carriage, Nu-wa. There is a company that makes custom units in California. (Check out Will Smith's unit on the internet).

Several major manufacturers went out of business in the last few years.

Check out RV.com or LA mesa or Campingworld and look at thier pop ups under fifth wheels/ trailers.

Some units are now msrp'd at or above $150k.
