Intermittent blower fan operation. Older gas Bryant furnace. Blower does not always start when burners light, probably once every ten cycles. While unit is running am getting 120 volts to blower motor, and 28 volts off the transformer. All other low voltage connections measuring at least 24 volts. What could be the cause of the intermittent fan operation?

I would have to say instead of trying to fix the fan you might want to see how much a new furnace is. We had to put 2 new ones in the house one summer and it was woth it. Better heat and better on the heating bill.

Sounds like the fan/limit switch needs replacing .

    Mister Charles is your man.

He helped me through a furnace issue I had in the fall.

    He knows his stuff.
