I like some of the songs he sings, but can't say I like him personally because I have never met him ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

My old barber always enjoyed Ray's "Don't Get a Haircut Out of Town". Fair warning for his traveling clientele.

My wife and I used to load our Aerostar van with 6 kids and head for Myrtle Beach each summer. A Ray Stevens tape was always played at least a couple of times going and returning. My now adult children can still sing some of the words to many of his songs.

    My favorite Ray Stevens song . . . . . . . " Would Jesus wear a Rolex on his televsion show ? "

    Yes,

One of my fishing buddies and I used to listen to his tapes on the way to the lake and back on our many misadventures chasing the elusive musky
