I'm planning on getting a cross slide vise for my tabletop drill press for some LIGHT milling duty (7/32" slots by 1" long in 1/16" sheet aluminum). I've seen a number of different sizes (4", 5", ect). What do these different sizes indicate? The plate on the drill press is 6-5/16'' x 6-1/2'' if that helps. I'd like to keep it under $50, doesn't need to be extremely accurate, just able to move vertically.

Would something like this be sufficient for my purposes?

Get a good one. You need one that will not wiggle in the dovetails and the lead screws should not have a lot of play in them.

Also, excessive runout on the drill press will cause wandering and oversize holes and milled paths.

Your drill press also needs to be able to lock the vertical travel.
