Don't even think about doing it. Google some reviews about that product and you'll see why.

Try Glary Utilities, Blink from e-eye.com, or MS Security Essentials.

All are free (in one form or another) and will do a much better job...

They spend all their money on TV ads and let the product remain inferior.

Go to the Microsoft website and download the free Microsoft Security Essentials. Who knows more about their software than them. Automatic daily update. Been using it for a couple of years, works great. BIG JIM

What kind of problem are you experiencing? If you aren't having trouble, leave it alone and don't fix what isn't broken. I would stay as far away from MyCleanPC as possible. There are different solutions for different problems. Maybe if you stated what you are having trouble with, someone might have a solution.

    Big Jim is right on.
Go to Microsoft and get M.E.

PS: I also run CCleaner but you have to know what you're doing.
Registry changes can hurt you if you're not familiar with the registry.

As far as Microsoft Security Essentials goes, be careful using it. In the last couple of weeks I have had a pop-up, with excellent graphics, depicting a Security Essentials warning that it has uncovered a virus attack. Then it goes into a mock scan showing 5 or 6 viruses found and then saying you need to run "clean.exe" to remove them. It then gives you the "ability" to run the clean.exe program, which is a virus in itself.

Whoever wrote it did a good job. It ALMOST fooled me. Now as soon as I see it I just close and restart Firefox.

Macs are not immune from attacks. In fact, there have been some major attacks recently, including a fresh one that installs malware without any user interaction. You're less likely to have problems with a Mac, but make no mistake, Macs are not immune.

so far, I'm pretty happy with Microsoft Essentials. But I do not do anything tricky on that computer.
