AFTER YEARS OF TELLING PEOPLE CHEMOTHERAPY IS THE
ONLY WAY TO TRY AND ELIMINATE CANCER, JOHN HOPKINS
HOSPITAL IS FINALLY STARTING TO TELL YOU THERE IS AN
ALTERNATIVE WAY Cancer Update from John
    Hopkins Hospital

    1. Every person has cancer cells in the body. These cancer cells do not show up in the standard tests until they have multiplied to a few billion. When doctors tell cancer patients that there are no more cancer cells in their bodies after treatment, it just means the tests are unable to detect the cancer cells because they have not reached the detectable size.

    2. Cancer cells occur between 6 to more than 10 times in a person's lifetime.

    3. When the person's immune system is strong the cancer cells will be destroyed and prevented from multiplying and forming tumors.

    4. When a person has cancer it indicates the person has multiple nutritional deficiencies. These could be due to genetic, environmental, food and lifestyle factors.

    5. To overcome the multiple nutritional deficiencies, changing diet and including supplements will strengthen the immune system.

    6. Chemotherapy involves poisoning the rapidly-growing cancer cells and alsodestroys rapidly-growing healthy cells in the bone marrow, gastro-intestinal tract etc, and can cause organ damage, like liver, kidneys, heart, lungs etc.

    7. Radiation while destroying cancer cells also burns, scars and damages healthy cells, tissues and organs.

    8. Initial treatment with chemotherapy and radiation will often reduce tumor size. However prolonged use of chemotherapy and radiation do not result in more tumor destruction.

    9. When the body has too much toxic burden from chemotherapy and radiation the immune system is either compromised or destroyed, hence the person can succumb to various kinds of infections and complications.

    10. Chemotherapy and radiation can cause cancer cells to mutate and become resistant and difficult to destroy. Surgery can also cause cancer cells to spread to other sites.

    11. An effective way to battle cancer is to starve the cancer cells by not feeding it with the food it needs to multiply. CANCER CELLS FEED ON: a. Sugar is a cancer-feeder. By cutting off sugar it cuts off one important food supply to the cancer cells. Sugar substitutes like NutraSweet, qual, spoonful, etc are made with Aspartame and it is harmful. A better natural substitute would be Manuka honey or molasses but only in very small amounts. Table salt has a chemical added to make it white in color. Better alternative is Bragg's aminos or sea salt. b. Milk causes the body to produce mucus,
especially in the gastro-intestinal tract. Cancer feeds on mucus. By cutting off milk and substituting with unsweetened soya milk cancer cells are being starved. c. Cancer cells thrive in an acid environment. A meat-based diet is acidic and it is best to eat fish, and a little chicken rather than beef or pork. Meat also contains livestock antibiotics, growth hormones and parasites, which are all harmful, especially to people with cancer. d. A diet made of 80% fresh vegetables and juice, whole grains, seeds, nuts and a little fruits help put the body into an alkaline environment.About 20% can be from cooked food including beans. Fresh vegetable juices provide live enzymes that are easily absorbed and reach down to cellular levels within 15 minutes to nourish and enhance growth of healthy cells. To obtain live enzymes for building healthy cells try and drink fresh vegetable juice (most vegetables including bean (sprouts)and eat some raw vegetables 2 or 3 times a day. Enzymes are destroyed at temperatures of 104 degrees F (40 degrees C). e. Avoid coffee, tea, and chocolate, which have high caffeine. Water-best to drink purified water, or filtered, to avoid known toxins and heavy metals in tap water. Distilled water is acidic, avoid it.

    12. Meat protein is difficult to digest and requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remaining in the intestines become putrified and leads to more toxic buildup.

    13. Cancer cell walls have a tough protein covering. By refraining from or eating less meat it frees more enzymes to attack th e protein walls of cancer cells and allows the body's killer cells to destroy the cancer cells.

    14. Some supplements build up the immune system to enable the body's own killer cells to destroy cancer cells (IP6,Flor-ssence,Essiac, anti-oxidants, vitamins, minerals, EFAs etc.) Other supplements like vitamin E are known to cause apoptosis, or programmed cell death, the body's normal method of disposing of damaged, unwanted, or unneeded cells.

    15. Cancer is a disease of the mind, body, and spirit. A proactive and positive spirit will help the cancer warrior be a survivor. Anger, unforgiveness and bitterness put the body into a stressful and acidic environment. Learn to have a loving and forgiving spirit. Learn to relax and enjoy life.

    16. Cancer cells cannot thrive in an oxygenated environment. Exercising daily, and deep breathing help to get more oxygen down to the cellu lar level. Oxygen therapy is another means employed to destroy cancer cells.
CANCER UPDATE FROM JOHN HOPKINS HOSPITAL , U S - PLEASE READ
    1. No plastic containers in micro.

    2. No water bottles in freezer.

    3. No plastic wrap in microwave. Johns Hopkins has recently sent this out in its newsletters. This information is being

circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as well.Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer. Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.Don't freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.Recently, Dr. Edward Fujimoto,
Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard. He talked about dioxins and how bad they arefor us.He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers. This especially applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the combination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body. Instead, he recommends using glass, such as Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers
for heating food. You get the same results, only without the dioxin. So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed fromthe container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad but you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc. He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons. Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran, is just as dangerous when placed over foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead". Earl Hamman 87-00624

Snopes might say false, but i have a 64 yr old friend that has been living with leukemia since '97 and has never had chemo or radiation. He sees a doctor named gonzales from NY that promotes a supplement program based on pancreatic enzymes. I know it works, he has been close to remission for last 3 or 4 Yrs. There is an alternative to chemo and Rad. JD

It is truly sad to read all the BS about Chemo and Radiation being more harmful than helpful, this is a total misrepresentation of the facts.

I am a cancer survivor having used Chemo and Radiation as a means to destroy and eradicate a cancerous tumor on my left lung along with the Chemo to destroy any microscopic cancer cells to prevent mastisizing to other areas...

I am 2 years in remission with all CTs showing negative cancer cell growth and negative effects to my lungs and other body organs and functions...

as well new Chemo and Radiation treatments are being discovered every day, Cyber Knife is just one example of how far Radiation has come in the last 2 years...

The danger in a post such as this is that someone with cancer who may be contemplating Radiation and or Chemo may decide to reject that treatment because of this kind of BS......

This information is usually a prelude to selling some sort of Alternative Medicine wonder plant bottled juice that will defense and cure most cancers.

Pay attention people, Cancer is real, it is extreamly deadly and there are only a few ways to kill it before it kills you...

    regards

Maybe the source of that post is fake - I don't know- but there's a lot of valid information in it. It's almost irrelevant about the effects of chemo and radiation, because if you've got cancer, you've got to kill the cancer, and there's only a few ways to do that.
But nutrition, life style, etc. are things we should be doing anyway. I'm a two time cancer survivor, and yes, the chemo and radiation did some damage-but I'm still here to tell the story 15 years later.

I have had colon cancer twice. The first time was a simple surgery to remove a section. Two years later it returned at the joint where the section was removed. This time I went to a specialist at Duke U. I then underwent radiation, chemo and then surgery. That was five years ago. So far so good.

    Chuckles is right.

Trapshooters.com is the LAST place I would look for scientific information if I had cancer and my life or the life of someone I cared about was at stake. This kind of irresponsible, unsourced pseudo-scientific bullshit is all to common on the internet and is a real disservice to those who have to cope with the disease.

The established medical community treats cancer one way. there are other ways.

I knew a lady who was told she had 2 months to live. She was in a very stressful abusive relationship. (cervical cancer)

She made a complete change in her life by moving out and starting over. She also made changes in diet and lifestyle.

2 years later a baby came out of that womb.

I'm not going to say anything one way or another, all I know is the mind can heal the body. It can also make the body sick.

Some people can live in this society and absorb all the treated foods they want and never have a problem. Others can't.

Had a shooting pal that used to eat at steak houses all the time that used a lot of meat tenderizer so their cheap cuts would be more palatable. I won't name them but you know the ones.

Died of pancreatic cancer at 44 years old. He was also a Viet Nam vet with Agent Orange exposure. Draw your own conclusions.

It would be good to avoid things that may harm you, both physical things, and mental things.

So be good people and quit posting derogatory stuff, it may have a detrimental effect on your health.

Bobdog: I'm glad to see you're such an expert on cancer. Give people here some credit that they're not going to read an opinion and just accept it without researching it further.

There's a lot of information that comes to this site about a variety of subjects. They represent what people have learned and experienced. Not all of it is valid, but much of it is.

Frankly, Dick, I don't think I professed to be an expert on anything. If I did, I wouldn't base it on much I got on the internet.

Well bob, during my last bout with cancer three years ago I researched everything I could find on the internet about the nature of my illness and the treatments available. When I had my first meeting with the oncologist, I was able to ask the right questions, understand what he was telling me, know what my options were, and have input into choosing the treatment.

People who think that all you need to do is show up and say: "fix me" are making a huge mistake. Those of you who have been through this know exactly what I'm talking about.

Be grateful for the internet. It might save your life one day.

Everybody reacts diferently to cancer and the treatments. What works for one person may not work for another. My father a young 68 years old was told today that there is nothing else they can do for his cancer and that all treatments were stopped. He was as strong as an ox just one year ago and now cant hardly walk.Tell me a good diet and deep breathing is going to stop cancer? he walked five miles a day and lifted weights and still got cancer.

Good luck to all as cancer knows no boundraies. DB3006

Hipshot, choosing to eat smart and exercize are excellent attributes and will keep one fairly healthy...it is definately the way to go....however it is no guarantee against cancer, not in the least.....

I have met many children from 3 years old to 16 yrs old, young ones that never had dietary issues, were not fat from lack of exercize or poor eating habits and cancer has laid them low and in some cases caused their deaths....

Cancer is indiscriminate and the Medical field is at a loss to explain why...

Dick, it sounded like you had some experience with it from your comments. I'm sorry to hear it. We both agree the internet can be a wonderful source of information we didn't have when we were younger. I went through a similar search for as much info as I could find about diabetes this summer, so I understand what you're saying and don't disagree much.

My comment was pointed at the gossipmongering that gets passed off as scientific fact that's so commonplace. I doubt if you learned anything of much value about cancer on ts.com. You went to the top cancer sites and legitimate research sites to get higher quality information.

Anyway, here's hoping you beat it.
