Some here may recall that about this time last year, I was told I had Stage 4 colon cancer in my liver, lungs and abdomen. I asked for your prayers and received many encouraging emails over the past months.

I completed the 24 chemo treatments Oct 31. Tests afterward were very encouraging - the Dr. Could see NO sign of any tumors or lesions in the CT scan from November. My CEA tumor marker was 2.6 (it started at over 150 last spring). He said all looked good and I should come back every 90 days. I just had my first 90 day check this past Wednesday and all things are still positive - blood work is normal, CEA is 2.3 etc. He saw no reason for a new CT scan. I'll see him again in 90 days.

I came through chemo fairly well, although I wouldn't want to do it again. I lost weight, some hair, my appetite, my tastebuds and had many digestive issues. I plan to be back shooting this Spring and also will go to the Grand.

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and encouragement during the last year. For now, our prayers were answered, PTL. I still covet your prayers as this monitoring process continues, but wanted to share this good news with you all.

PS If you are 50 or older, PLEASE have a colonoscopy done. I waited a long time and may have been able to avoid this had I followed Dr.'s advice.

Gene. a bright spot on our computer. Thanks for sharing... I go for a colonoscopy Monday. It will be my 3rd.

If a good trigger shows up, buy it. I'll be out of action for a day.

Congratulations, I'm glad to hear such a good report. They taught us in school that older patients do better with colon cancer than young. Looks like they were right. LOL AJ
