Alan Jackson - Probably one of the best current singers alive.

Travis Tritt - Still knows how to belt out a honky tonk tune.

Toby Keith - Knows how to bring the thunder and a real troop supporter.

Brooks & Dunn - One of the best duets of all time.

Brad Paisley - Coming on strong and has a Johnny Cash like view of the world and country music's place in it.

Sara Evans - Great voice and completely smoking hot!

George Strait - One of the best... Ever!

Carrie Underwood - Really coming on strong and looks like she'll be here to stay.

On the old school team, almost too many to mention.

Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Earl Thomas Conley, Eddie Rabbit, George Jones, Tanya Tucker, Steve Earle, Hank Williams Sr & Jr, Alabama....

Wow, there are a lot of good ones out there.

    Tron,

I am surprised at you. Most of the folks that you enjoy are not known as players. Jr. is the real deal. If anyone has not heard this guy, you are missing a classic.

Frankly, I don't think the words "country" and "music" should ever even appear in the same paragraph.

If it wasn't for dogs, pickup trucks and cheating spouses, these people wouldn't have anything to sing through their noses about.

    She Doesn't Know She's Beautiful

    Sammy Kershaw

We go out to a party somewhere ...

The moment we walk in the door ...

People stop and everybody stares ...

She don't know what they're staring for ...

    She don't know she's beautiful...

    (never crossed her mind)

    She don't know she's beautiful...

    (no she's not that kind)

    She don't know she's beautiful...

Though time and time I've told her so...

There she goes just walking down the street ...

And someone lets a whistle out ...

A girl like her she just can't see ...

What the fuss is all about ...

    And she don't know she's beautiful ...

    (never crossed her mind)

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

    (no she's not that kind)

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

Though time and time I've told her so ...

Morning comes and her hair's all a mess ...

That's when she thinks she looks her worst ...

It's times like this she don't know why ...

I can't take my eyes off her ...

    'Cause she don't know she's beautiful ...

    (never crossed her mind)

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

    (no she's not that kind)

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

Though time and time I've told her ...

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

    (never crossed her mind) ...

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

    (no she's not that kind)

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

Though time and time I've told her ...

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

    (never crossed her mind)

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

    (no she's not that kind)

    She don't know she's beautiful ...

Though time and time I've told her so ...

The best country "singers" were Waylon Jennings and Jim Reeves. While I enjoy listening to a lot of the country singers, few of them have the voice to even hold a candle to Waylon Jennings and Jim Reeves.
