asking for money. Ive been an NRA menber for 30 years and am so pissed I dont
think I will renew. Please any ideas??

    thanks

Put a sign over your phone......DO NOT ANSWER THIS NUMBER

If you know who it is and you answer......WELL??????????

    IT"S NOT THE "NRA"........IT"S A TELEMARKETER.

Got my American Hunter full of advertisements and information about the 2010 NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits FOUR DAYS AFTER IT FINISHED. Yes there was this information in earlier issues but why waste all of those expensive pages on an event that had already taken place? Not a very good use of NRA funds.

It used to upset me too but, given the work they do to protect our gun rights, I now just grin and bear it. I give when I can.

    221,

It may be a telemarketer, but they are acting on behalf of the NRA. I'd have a conversation with the NRA directly and if if didn't stop, I'd stop being a member.

I wouldn't put up with that kind of rudeness for a second.

I would call them and try again. I called years ago and said that I was inundated with mailings and that I wanted to receive thirteen mailings a year; the twelve American Riflemans and the one renewal notice, and if I got anything more, I would resign.

They continue to comply with this request even after scores of years.

Double Auto- the meetings aren't until May 14 thru the 16th-- still plenty of time to attend. Maybe it IS a waste to send magazines to people that can't read!

Becoming a Life Member don't even slow it down, they are the main source of my mail and I have recieved numerous phone calls besides and I am a life member ...

Set the phone down and let them ramble on for awhile, then go and hang it up ... The mailings go right into the trash unopened unless I feel like opening it and sending it back to them in the envelope provided ... Think of comical and or unusual ways to handle them and let us all know what they are so we can use them also ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Seems to me they're calling the wrong people. If you're already a member shouldn't they be calling for NEW members? Ya think? Jim

    Go to: NRA.org.

Click "Member Services" , and then "FAQ`s.

One of the FAQ`s tells you how you can be put on the "Do Not Promote List."

This WORKS to greatly reduce the amount of mailings you get.

I don`t know about the phone calls though , I`ve never received any.

Hope you can make them stop without having to leave the NRA.

    Regards, Pete

I know what I'd really like to say to you, but I won't and I'm in Washington State!! You poor thing, getting a few phone calls, just hang up if you don't want to talk to them. And then whine when some anti gun bill is passed!
