Who are 'we the people' who are gun owners? I see most gun owners as the families of law enforcement, previous servicemen and women, people in the gun, ammunitions and accessories businesses, sportsmen and competition shooters and safety/defense minded families who have enjoyed gun ownership through the decades and centuries and who will pass it down.

The lawbreakers and criminals defy the rule of law so adding new laws, rules and regulations don't work on these gun holders. They do not show up at shooting events or participate in gun safety classes or self defense seminars. They do not defend against tyranny, they contribute to tyranny.

So, any new laws or regulations will be obliged by only the people who already abide by the current gun laws. Gun bans will only hurt and futher restrict the non crime committing, gun owners. That's how I see it, how do you see it?

Explain to me again why the backlash is against gunowners and not the criminals responsible for the crimes committed with guns.

It's the only way the idiots in charge know how to do anything

It never works but they just keep doing it over and over and over, expecting different results

Criminals NOW have more RIGHTS then law abiding Citizens do, Thanks to Lawyers and groups like the ACLU.

When you have a "criminal" mindset, you think along those line. Lawyers have to think along those lines also!

Hence MOST politicians are now Lawyers so they "Think" like criminals and some ARE criminals.

Those in Obama's administration who had to PAY back TAXES in order to accept the job given them, SHOULD all have been arrested for at least FRAUD.

But we all know now there are TWO sets of "Rule of Law" in this country!!

I see "We, the gun owners" vs "They, the criminals" the same way you do.

The "backlash" against gun owners instead of the criminals is because the anti-gunners don't care about crime, that's just an excuse to push forward their agenda of disarming the people.

Ok, I'll bite. The goal is to disarm the American people. Then what? What's left to take?
If a foreign power is behind the disarmnament what is the next goal?
If it is a domestic enemy power what is the goal? Enslavement? More Riches?

This seems to be what is so hard for people to understand, that this is a real threat with real consequences. And they'll argue that stuff that took place on foreign soil ions ago will never happen here.

Who would want a nation of half disabled citizens on food stamps? And what will happen to the other half?

A corrupt representative Republic is better than a corrupt Authoritarian state but what is behind the disarmnament?

    THEY say:

Our nukes are slated to be trashed.

Our forests have been burned and will take years to replenish.

    Mining pollutes.

Our healthy food must be low yield organic

Industry pollutes and must be curbed

Gas and Oil use ruin and pollute the earth as does coal

    Our military has ptsd

Doctors and lawyers live too high on the hog

    Parents are inept

    Teachers are sex maniacs

    Corrupt sports

    No pets so no vets

    No animal food just vegan

    Clergy is corrupt

They must want Hollywood. sorry, the Socialists already have Hollywood

So why disarm America? Who wants it and why?

Purposeful cultivation of the criminal class provides job security for some, insecurity for the rest. When the court releases a perp for his 44th offense everyone has to endure another round of robbery, stolen property, stolen identity and stolen peace of mind.

Try this tune on youtube for your Sunday afternoon:

Our soldiers have ptsd because they are going nuts wondering why we are in Afghanistan (for 3 tours of duty) They don't need electro-shock therapy, thay have already had it.

    TinMan88,

While the performance was good and the music was also, the message is the same as the 1970's in that America spends too much on defense while the world is starving.

America has done more to create honest work in the world than any nation on earth. The reason that there aren't as many staving or diseased infants worldwide is because of our innoculations and our medical developments. The world was a much more difficult place before American know how helped to solve some but not all of the world's problems.
America has fed the hungry, clothed the poor, cared for the sick, and educated the uneducated of the world at great sacrifice to her own citizens. In my family are missionaries who could attest to this.

Our service men and women are the ones who paved the way for American know how and relief to get to where it was most needed at a cost and sacrifice to themselves and our Nation is grateful while the world just simply wants more. I personally don't fault our soldiers at all, being the offspring of a WWII veteran. Our service men and women can overcome their problems as did my family of WWII veterans who were honorable men.

It is now, give the world the fish instead of teaching them how to fish for themselves. Time to say fish for yourselves with the billions of dollars of aid we give you anually.

But it seems that 'someone' is here to come and take it and I want to know who.

Look at any problem and the government is not far away from it. The government was to serve the people but it is practiced that the people serve the government. The few things that they are correct about is feed the animals and they'll become dependent (sign in a National Park); oh sh$t, I just described the 47,000,000 on food stamps. They are wrong on this gun issue and we, along with our kids, will not be safer. The clowns in New York passed their recent gun laws that failed to exempt law enforcement and the law enforcement is seeking an exemption based on the claim that they'll be out-gunned by the criminal if restricted to 7 rounds. This, of course is true; however, they don't believe the citizen will also be out-gunned??? This is nuts. New York, your governor and representatives are a disgrace. BT100dc

    Thanks for the 'easier link'...

If all gun owners are being 'cultivated' as future criminals perhaps we should not be so eager to toughen the anti gun laws against ourselves.

rpeerless, good going! Several thousand years ago a guy named Nimrod decided to build a tower to Heaven so folks could commute back and forth. Everyone spoke the same language and all the rest. It didn't work well, but some folks still think it will. Those folks are the liberal statists. To my knowledge, it has never worked, yet they keep trying. Naturally, people would have to give up their individuality. The Nimrod story may be allegory, but it points out the futility of hoping for a perfect society, particularly at the expense of freedom.

So you think it's due to the "Nimrod Effect"? Really? I don't think the world is civilized enough for the "Nimrod Effect" and I hope, neither are we. And who will be the king of the Nimrods? Obama or Putin or George Soros and the Fabian Socialists? (Sounds like a rock group don't it?)

Good points peerless. I don't see the song in the same way you do but each our own. On the topic of our soldiers, I am most grateful of their service. You will not find me to be critical of them, I defend them (from)being sent to a tar baby geo-politital war like Afghanistan for who knows what. Sent by political chess players. Peerless, I attended the funeral of my friend this sat. Jan.(19) who died from being sprayed with agent orange in that lovely little paradise named Viet Nam. I'm sure you have heard about that meat grinder, yes? I have a strong personal opinion about that. I refer to repeat offenders and how the law abiding have to deal with them. Wouldn't you give thanks if you could walk around at nite and feel safe? or leave on vacation for a week (or a few hours) and come home to the same house you left? Why can't this happen. I am not speaking of feeding people on the other side of the world- nice gesture that it is -when we have a revolving debt ceiling.

I have made a point of contacting as many radio outlets as I can and my elected representitives' to express the message that there are 80 million law abiding folks who do not participate in crime, why are they the focus of blame. God bless your family's mission work. Regards,

Tinman88, Sincere sympathy at the loss of your friend. I have read considerable articles with regard to agent orange and the plight of our Vietnam Veterans.

Also read "Steel My Soldiers Hearts" by Col. David Hackworth and had the honor of meeting him at a book signing. I believe his head was in the right place as a soldier and his heart was in the right place when he wrote the book and dealt with his own personal illness.

Thanks for your contribution as well.

(Perhaps Col. Hackworth, a future thinker, could foresee the age of Obama)
