At North Hollywood we had our Lewis class shoot today and it was a great day. Firt, we had great weather, sunny and about 70 with no wind. Next, we had great shooters looking to have a good time. Finally, we had a lot of volunteers stepping up to make the shoot run smooth.

We shot 50, 16s and 50 from the 22. Top scores were posted by Bob May and Al Yepelli with 98s. Bob won the shootoff worth about $170.00 and Al picked up a real nice gun cleaning kit donated by Walt Hastings.

We subtracted 2 from the 98 and 5, 96s shotoff for A Class with Charlie McPhee taking the $129.00 check.

We then subtracted 3 from 96 and Gary Bombalicki's lone 93 got the B Class win and the $129.00. Lucky Gary, there were 6, 94s and a couple of 92s.

Jim Stachula then picked up the $129.00 check for C Class after winning a two person shoot off.

We also had 8 people in the Lucky Post shoot off and Al Yapelli picked up a flat of shells donated by his good friend Terry Bilbey.

Terry also donated 4 really nice softsided coolers that were awarded to the "tweeners" and the DAL shooter. The tweeners were the shooters posting scores between the class scores, decided by the longest back run.

Thanks to all and I think we may just do this again next month.

Great FUN!! All you shooters in the East and Mid West... picture shootng in shirt sleeves and shorts in January, 70 degrees, NO wind. It was nice to not have to worry about averages, etc. A really nice format, simple good lunch, and terrific shoot off system. NHSC Club members pitched in to help run the shoot as did many others from other clubs... This was a shoot FOR shooters and RUN BY shooters. More smiles per bird than a registered shoot. Fred

    Thank you NHSC.

All your members put forth the extra effort to put on some of the best shoot around.

Todays Lewis shoot was a fun fast moving experience. Looking forward to the next one.

I knew it would be a great fun day: Beautiful weather; the clouds gone just after about San Fernando going west from Los Angeles. Pulled in between Ahab's truck and Shotgunchick's hybrid. Three favorite shooters to shoot with, and a super cute pug dog that seems to always be smiling!!

    Thanks NHSC...a "bestest" time.

Thank you for all the nice words on our shoot yesterday and look forward to have our next Lewis type shoot. Just for all you back east it's raining in Southern California today. While it's nice to shoot in December in shorts and a t-shirt. Nothing beats a round of trap with the snow falling out of the sky.

You can take the "Boy" out of Ohio, but can't take Ohio out of the "Boy". Fred
