Was doing some drills with my Terry Jordan wall chart & decided to try my middle finger instead of the trigger finger on a release trigger. It seemed very comfortable & offered me more control. Does any one out there use another finger to shoot with besides the trigger finger. I know this has opened the barn door. But I think I kind of made an accidental discovery.

I use my middle finger since I flinch using my trigger finger. Flinching has gone away.

I use my middle finger for pistol shooting when my trigger finger gets tired.

I've tried pulling triggers with the middle finger on occasion. What you'll notice is that finger is much stronger and maybe a little less flinching occurs during use. You'll also notice an increase in recoil as you're grip strength is reduced!!

Acouple of years ago I had an accident and cut my finger off in a mill, I called the wife and told her about it.

She asked if I cut my whole finger off??

I replied, no, I cut the one next to it off!!

You beat me to it, Hoosier. He shoots pretty good. Usually with a borrowed gun!
