    ANNOUNCEMENT:
North Lawrence F&G Trap Range will be opening for practice on Tuesday nights starting April 7th

The trap operation will be under the management of Scott Powell who is also part of the group that operates Copley Trap Range.

    The specifics:

    - The range opens at 5:30pm, shooting starts at 6pm and runs until 9:30pm

    - Cost will be $4.50 per round

    - We will be operating 4 GMV Superstar Traps on the center trap fields

    - All traps will be set to throw ATA legal targets

    - One trap will be setup for doubles, three for singles / handicap

    - All voice release controlled

    - The lights will be turned on early, white targets will be thrown after dark

    - All orange targets will be thrown until our supply is expended, then orange dome will be thrown

    - A Sunday registered shoot schedule is being developed and will be announced once approved

Improvements are underway to ensure our shooters are provided with the best shooting environment possible:

    - The club has poured new concrete walkways in front of the clubhouse

    - Parking lot has lots of stone

    - Trap field lines and yardage numbers will be newly painted (as soon as the weather allows)

    - The brush is being removed to provide an open sky background to shoot the orange dome targets against (as soon as the weather allows)

Announcements and schedules will be posted here on and on the North Lawrence website http://www.nlfg.org

Feel free to contact me personally if you have any questions or comments.

I hope to see everyone on April 7th!

    Scott Powell

I'm still working on the schedule.. The number of shoots will really depend on feedback and shooter participation. If the interest is there, the targets will fly!

I am hoping there will be enough interest to hold a 2 day trophy shoot in September!

Look forward to seeing you at the range!

Good Luck, I sincerely hope you can bring N.L. back to the fine facility it was. It is a real shame that it went down hill the past few years. This is one of Ohio's best clubs and I miss the old Budweiser shoots with 30 + squads.

    Thanks Sam!

I'm certainly going to give it my best! The club management and the members are excited and behind me all the way...

It is going to take some work, but I am confident we're going to be successful. Our goal is to throw the best targets possible and run organized, enjoyable shoots - and I count on the feedback and comments of our customers (you know - the shooters....)

I only have 4 traps to start up with, but I have a contingency plan for a couple more if we are overwhelmed. My son, daughter and I always enjoyed the Bud shoot and the Wildlife shoot - hopefully we can make those a reality again!

Why only 4 traps to start? What happened to the existing traps? I hope you post the dates when you get them. Thanks, gjmen

The other 5 traps are unfortunately not available due to legal reasons beyond our control..

I will post the registered shoot dates soon..

    Hi Scott,

    Which traps did you get?

Hoping you ended up getting the SuperStar traps and not the GP's.

    Thanks,,,,Tom

I got the Superstars... I am already planning for additional machines - if the shooters come back, I think we will be able to get additional machines. I would like to be at 7 machines by September...
