North Hollywood Sportsman's Club will be holding our CGSTA Winter Chain Shoot this Saturday and Sunday, April 12 & 13. The program is 100 singles targets and 100 handicap targets on Saturday and two, 100 handicap events on Sunday. The Winter Chain Buckle will be awarded to the handicap champion of the second handicap on Sunday.

The Club will also be hosting a free and delicious tri-tip barbecue Saturday afternoon for all shooters and guests.

We are recognizing our long time club member, Dewey Riggins by naming the first handicap on Sunday in his honor. His contributions to the success of our Club have been too numerous to list, the most recent being his wiring of our new 4th field.

We are also recognizing the legendary Bill and Ruthie Hunter by naming the Winter Chain Handicap "The Bill & Ruthie Hunter Handicap for the CGSTA Winter Chain Buckle". The Club has received several Hunter Trophies which we have been privileged to award at our ATA shoots. We are pleased to be able to award Silver Dollar Money Clips provided by Bill and Ruthie to our High Lady; High Veteran and High Senior Veteran in the Winter Chain event. We, like countless others in the trap shooting community, are thankful for their continuing support.

Registration is at 8 a.m. and we will be shooting 25 per field on our four traps. We still have openings so call Gary at 805 955 9471 to pre-squad.

From Ventura, Come out the 126. When you cross the 5 it turns into Newhall Ranch Road. About 1 mile past the 5, turn left on Copper Hill. About 3 miles and just up the hill past Alberstons shopping center, turn left on San Francisquito Canyon Road. About 3 miles and a 1/2 mile past Angeles National Forest sign you will see the Club banner on the left side of the road. Turn in at the gate, the Club is across the river bed.

It should take just about an hour from the 126 & Victoria.

BBQ on Sat. sounds good. Are you going to feed us starving children on Sunday too?
