The North Hollywood Sportsmans Club would like to send out a big Thank You to all the ATA shooters who come out to our club for our month ATA Shoot. We had a great crowd, very high scores and great food as always. I want to thank Jim Tyner, Dean Brower and Jim Stachula for all their hard work that they have put in to make our club look great.

Look forward to seeing eveyone for next months shoot (who know what we will be cooking next time).

It was great fun having Terry Bilbey, owner of Redlands Shooting Park come up along with trapshooting legend Al Yapelli who is also Bill Hunter's longtime righthand man. Bill and Al graciously hosted Gary and I for lunch a couple of months ago and it was good to return the favor to Al with some of Dean Brower's slow cooked kraut on top of real wood fire roasted brots.

Terry demonstrated why Redlands has become one of the premier shooting facilities in the West as he pitched in and scored and loaded traps. I told him that if he kept up the good work, I would sponsor him for membership. Not unexpectedly, he gets another hat tip for winning HC Champ with a 96 to leave Al to settle for the 27 yardage group win with his 95.

For the second month, no one picked up the bounty pot for the first 100 on our new Field 3. Terry joined Jan Torkelson, Jim Kenneston and yours truly as the four chokers with 99s. Next month the pot could be sniffing around the $400 level. At least Terry's 99 was enough for him to pickup the HOA pot.

Overall it was a perfect day for the 35 shooters with temps in the high 70s, a light breeze, good targets, good scores and good fellowship. We are working hard under Gary's leadership to build our ATA shoots as a must stop on the registered shoot calendar. Come out and join us in December. If you haven't shot ATA or haven't shot it in a while, our Club's friendly, relaxed atmosphere is a comfortable place to get started.

Thanks again to everyone who helped, thanks to the shooters and congrats to the winners.

AHAB: If Mr Yapelli won the 27 yardage group which Jim Tyner states in the opening thread with a 95, then he would not have won the vetertan group as well. You can only win one trophy per event. The trophies were $90 Winchester Bowie Knives. See CGSTA web site for all of the winners. The FACTS appear to be straight. You sound very upset. Fred [H/OA second place w/ 194]
