Well it is now official, North Hollywood Sportsman's Club [the best kept secret in So. Calif.] will host the CGSTA/ATA Winter Chain Weekend shoot. We were schedule for an ATA event on Saturday, April 14 and now will extend the event into Sunday, April 15. If you pre squaded for Saturday, you are still on. For those who wish to pre squad, you can reach me at fssberson@aol.com. Pre squading is available for Sunday as well.

The weekend will consist of Saturday Event 1 - 100 Singles; Event 2 - Handicap; Sunday, Event 3 Handicap and Event 4 WINTER CHAIN BELT BUCKLE HANDICAP. All events will have beautiful trophy awards for AA, A, B [cash for C and D of more than three shooters]. Also, both days of handicap yardarges will have trophies: 19-21/22-24/25-26/and 27 yards. There will be a combined veterans/ combined juniors/ and ladies [for 3 or more shooters] for both days.

Costs will be a little more than we normally charge due to the prizes. $27 per event plus the CGSTA/ATA fees. And there will be the notorious North Hollywood Pot - $5.00 voluntary for combined high guns [split 60% - 40%]

Food will be available at a nominal cost. Dean and Gary Bombalicki are cooking.

Directions: Take the 5 Fwy. north or south, get off on Magic Mountain and go east to the city. Go to McBean Parkway make a Left Turn and go about 3 miles to Copper Hill, make a Right Turn. Go two short signals to San Francisquito Canyon and make a Left Turn - go less than 3 miles and we are on the left. Camping is available for those who request it. We have two restrooms and hot water.

FIRST SQUAD OUT WILL START AT 8:30. BRING PLENTY OF SHELLS AS WE WILL HAVE SHOOT OFFS FOR WINNERS. We will have loaders down in the houses and move squads very quickly.

Looking forward to seeing all of you. Fred

I'm guessing the Prado WC has been cancelled in lieu of moving that WC to NH?

You be guessing right. We were asked at the last minute to fill in and we are sure going to try. Don't know the reasons, but we hope to accommodate all who want to shoot. We are going to start early and go late. We will have members down in the houses loading while shooters are on the line. Also, a squad will shoot all 100 targets on one field to eliminate moving. Fields one and two are almost identical so the targets will be the same... no advantage over one field or another, except it saves time. Yes, it will still be five per station and we will have shoot offs. Fred
