If there is a flat of 3 dram 1 and 1/8 ounce of 8's Nobel Sport shells with "Trap Gold" as the label, and another flat of the same load: 3-dram 1 1/8 ounce, but with 7 1/2's labeled "Sporting Clays", is there a difference save for shot size?

    Regards,
    Philip

Phillip- No difference in the loads and there might not be a difference in the size of the shot in the shells. With several brands of discount shells, what is stamped on the box may or may not be what is in the shells.

Only way to tell is to cut a couple apart. If they use the same wad and the same powder, and the same amount of powder, its the same load.

Like Pat said, heck, it might even be the same shot.
