I am wondering about Nickel plating.

I had a Perazzi MX8 Nickel Plated and now (after shooting ~500 shells) the plating is bubbling/flaking off around the firing holes inside the receiver.

I only shoot Remington STS shells so they have brass bases rather than steel, so I know that is NOT the problem.

    Is this normal?

If not, what should I do?

    Thanks!

The plating shouldn't peel. If it was done by me, it's covered under warranty.

That said....Krieghoff polishes the edges of the peeled areas on their K-80s if it's not still under warranty. I've also polished the blistered breech faces on factory plated Perazzis.
