1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Must be rare, I never heard of one. I remember the pythons were .357 and the .38's were diamondbacks.

That was my recollection - having said that the Python (obviously) could shoot .38 special.

8" was the only barrel length offered I believe. Does anyone know for sure?

The only .38 Special chambered Python that I ever saw was also an 8". These are super rare and super collectable pieces. Very nice example here - should have no trouble getting the asking price.

    very rare!!!

    but, it could always be re-chambered for a .357 magnum-short.. (tongue-in-cheek)

EXTREMELY RARE and accurate. These hand made beauties will shoot with any handgun made.

This one will wind up in a collection, worth too much to shoot it. (groan)

+1 Shooting Coach!!! I'd love to have it...but I'd shoot the sh!t out of it and cant justify the collector price (which is definately fair) for a gun I couldn't keep as an investment.

Goood luck with the sale, I'm sure you won't have a problem once any serious Colt collectors get wind of it.

Rick has a vast knoweldge of firearms. It must come from hanging around the great Del Haverly.

I visit this site about every two weeks... this .38 Python is the most desirable
revolver (to me, anyhow) I have seen here in several years.
And once more, I have pi$$ed @w@y all my fun money on long guns...
My, my, my! How I do lust for the Snake.
