I just finished Newt Gingrich s book -Winning the future. He believes in God, Smaller government, the free enterprise system, family values, a strong military and very gradual changes in currant entitlements. If he wants the job in 2012 we should encourage it. What do you guys think?

I like him and probably would vote for him. He does carry some baggage, though, in the form of an extra marital affair. For that reason alone he is probably not electable. Too bad, as he is one bright and articulate dude. My $.02

Newton would probably would be better than what we had to choose from last election. I just think that a guy that's been married three times,he was having a affair when he was having Clinton investigated for lying about his affair, would be hard to get elected. I also think it was really funny when he let the government shut down and told the press he did it because Clinton made Bob Dole and him set in the back of Air Force One. John

You could elect Mickey Mouse as the next president and it would not matter until the entire capital hill crooks are replaced.

Actually, he would make a better Chief of Staff for the next president; he'd have lots of decision-making capability and the prez would take any heat for him.

You know, kinda like Rahm Emmanual.

Newt is a RINO, a liar, and at heart a big government lover. He is very much a part of the Republican establishment as it was under dubya. He talks conservatism but always sides with and supports the worst of the republican party leadership big government/ big spending agenda. Don't be decieved by his rhetoric. He is a flat out lying deciever.

I don't know about that wireguy. Newt was the main input giver in the 1994 'Contract With America' that put the Republicans in control of the House after 40 years of socialist dumocrap rule. The main point of the ten items in the contract was to give the president only balanced annual budgets to sign. Read the elements of the contract.

Slick willie was dragged kicking and screaming to the signing table, and signed the legislation. Contrast that with slick willies proposed annual budgets that had 400 billion dollar deficit spending per year as far as the eye could see.

Today, the liberal pukes here post it as the credit should go to slick willie. Just goes to show what liberal pukes know.

Just to clarify for you liberal pukes that think slick willie should get credit for a few years of balanced annual budgets, slick willie is a snake, just like hussein, blaming others for his failures, and taking credit for others accomplishments. Period........

I would have to agree with Paladin. Newt is an academic who is a rather brilliant individual. He let the little head do the thinking in his personal life which has made him unelectable in the republican sense. Many of his ideas are absolutely fantastic and true to conservative values but his actions as a philanderer render him unelectable.
