Oxford Gun Club will be holding it's annual New Years Day Shoot on......Jan 1st 2010. Where did 2009 go? This will be 50bird 15shooter events. 12 big meat prizes awarded by lewis class and 1 lucky loser prize. Meat prizes from Dutch Way are: Beef Roast, Pork Roast, Deli Bacon, Ovenstuffer, NY Strip Steaks, and new for this shoot, Hams. Sign-ups will start at approx 9am. Cost is $16 for each event. Practice trap will open at 9:30am ($4)and the 1st event will take the line at 10am. The ladies in the kitchen will be serving breakfast and lunch (also plenty of hot coffee for the nite owls). I am hoping for nice weather and a good shoot. Hope you had a great holiday (If you got that new trap gun you wanted, bring it out we would like to see it).

To anyone who has shot at a club in that area of Pennsylvania, would instantly know what a good club and it's members are of the Oxford Gun Club. I joined this club about 10 years ago as a life member. Pennsylvania shooters are some of the best people to sponsor the sport of trapshooting................Rick Johnson

Hope everyone got what they wanted for Christmas. For some reason my TM9X wasn't under the tree but I have my health, a loving family, and a great gun club to shoot at. What more could you want?

Ooops.....weather forecast for New Year's Day is snow showers and windy....

If we're not frozen out of the marsh.....it'll be duck hunting for us....

Lots (and I mean lots) of big ducks there now.

I like snow. I just wish it would snow around our trap schedule at Oxford instead of everytime we have a shoot!!! Bring your shovels, we hope to have the club open in time for the 10am start. Happy New Year!!!

Just got home from shoveling the snow on the trapfields, walkways, and front porch. I want to thank Ted Wallace for giving me a hand and for tuning up trap 1. Looks like he got the elevator timing just right. If we don't get dumped on tonite we should be in good shape in the morning. I'm not sure what shape our shooters will be in!!! Sign-ups should open up about 8:30am.
