An old friend of mine, going back to junior high, emailed me out of the blue and gave my 18 year old son Sean a never used Jet-16 vertical bench mill, along with a pile of end mills and parallels. It still has cosmoline and plastic wrapping on it. The crate walls were removed, but it's still on the crate base.
I have one of these too, but mine is older and is hammertone green, not solid gray. It ain't a Bridgeport, but if you work within its limitations it's a good machine.
What a sweet deal for an aspiring young machinist.
But wait, that's not all. He also threw in a drill press and his old Ruger 10-22 with an ATAS stock.
Apparently he's short on room, so something had to go.

Cool toy! And I'm a big fan of toys.

But if your friend is old, why is he going back to junior high?
