Don't know anything more than what the web site says. I'm guessing it's expensive and probably over hyped. Anyone seen it yet?

So it's a holographic red dot that mounts to a shotgun. Nothing new.

It's not a holographic sight that I can tell, it uses 1 AAAA 1.5volt battery so that pretty well rules out a real holographic sight which use a laser to illuminate the recticle. It looks to be a standard tubeless red dot system. Besides I can't imagine the Swedes paying royalty to EoTech.

I am a little curious about how the mount works, it's a shock absorbing system you know.

Did you try the simulator, if I could smoke real birds like I can on the simulator I need to get one. Somehow I know better. LOL

Since this is a world wide web site maybe someone from outside the USA has tried one?

No, I don't have stock in the company, but would like to try one. Requested info. The videos are particularly good. Go to the bottom of the shooting instructions page, middle video in the URL above. That's what I see when I shoot. Finally someone has captured it in video. When the circle gets to the target, I fire! POI is flat. I don't really lead the target, but my body movement takes me where I need to go.

Would a ghost ring front sight do much the same thing?

A one inch diameter ring would approximate your pattern. As long as your focus is through the ring and not at it it might work. You would be outside the ring on hard lefts and rights.

I wish EOTech had a low profile sight like that.

Bought a new EoTech 512 for $400 and I thought that was too much. $250 is way more in line. I saw a Bushnell HoloSight for that much on line, but I prefer the AA batteries. Picture shows the old model.

I see they left quite a bit of room to reduce the prices wanted for this lower profile Holo like sight!

I scratched my rib kinda bad with a screw on Weaver mount for the Holo-Sight. Ideal would be a scope mounting extension silver soldered on the barrel to help prevent the sight from moving around. A field barrel would be best with no rib in the way of extending the sight closer to the master eye!

I seriously doubt they sell many of these sights at that price!!

    Nothing new.

Having it mounted as shown in the OP is not going to work as well as mounting it as far back as possible. I used a long rib and played with sight position.

Not going to be in my stocking. If I ever need to spend 1000 bucks to help me with Trap Skeet or hunting other than a bigger/nicer gun I'll give it up. That is what practice and more practice is for. Why would I be at the club for if I didn't want to practice???

I emailed Henrik about the high price. No response. Agree with Don - you want it as close to your eye as possible without hurting your nose. That way you get a wider field of view. POI adjustments are important.

Looking at the videos on the Redring website, it appears that there is just a red ring floating out there in your field of view. You don't see any barrel, rib, front sight, or anything like that. Is that the way it really looks when using it?

I would think that you would have to see the muzzle or front bead of the gun, but perhaps not. I've never used this type of sight on any type gun, rifle, or whatever.
