    At 62 I'm new to the game, just been shootn a few weeks
    so I will be coming with lots of questions that ya'll have probably
    herd before,
    Like do you use 71/2 or 8 shot?
    Posted a 94 at my first ATA shoot with a new BT-99

    Wind blowing i use 7 1/2--still day 8's BUT I like the way the 7 1/2 smokes um at 16 yrds so i am a 7 1/2 guy "most" of the time .7 1/2 's for Handicap. JMO Joe joe90t

    Welcome to the game and TS.COM. Sounds like you are off to a good start and in my opinion picked a good gun to do it with.

    Joe Joe has the right idea. 1oz for singles and 24 yard. That's where im at.

    Wow nice shooting I am a first year shooter as well. My best luck is with the same shot Danny said only I use 1 1/8 oz. not accurate enough for the 1 oz. loads.

    The BT99 has proven itself as a quality trap gun platform...

    Smitty, work on those fundamentals using an ounce and you will become more accurate...
