He has been the governor longer than anyone else in this state. Gotta say something for him. He's ok in my book.

    He's a very savvy career politician, He's a veteran,he's nothing like Bush.

That said he's 1000% better than what we've got, and he certainly knows how to win an election (at least in Texas).

First I thought Palin/Perry, or Perry/Palin or Bachman/Perry and so on but then I read that Perry passed the Dream Act in Texas. That was a rub to me at least a fifth generation (on one side, more like 8 or more on the other) American and others like myself who tried to work, go to college and have yet to complete on going adult ed at age 60. That was self supporting with zero government benefits ever, at the same time. Someone else reaps what you sow. And yet another generation of my family members have been denied student loans with good grades 2010.
My family has paid taxes, served in wars, paid medical and had very little to pass from one generation to the next.

As my mother told me: "Go to work." And that what 'new Americans' should do to enrich our society. Go to work. With the Dream Act, we work, they go to school and what's to say they will stay here after they are educated?

I still say anyone with a heartbeat is better than what we have and maybe some that are dead would be better. But Perry,Bachmann,Palin,Rubio,Ryan,Demint or any other staunch conservative with a backbone.

Now Bryan, you don't wanna be saying, HOPEfully. He won't win. You better CHANGE it. :)

Romney = failing healthcare that he helped to pass in Massachusetts

I hate to say. We are a minority. Perry may appeal to us,but he's gonna have to appeal to the masses. And.Obumma is better at that.

Marco Rubio has a lot of potential but will face problems with eligibility. His parents were Cuban exiles and may not have been citizens at the time of his birth. The news media does not care about that with Obama but will go to the ends of the earth to see that Rubio is declared ineligible. "Natural born citizen" has always been defined as born in the country of citizen parents (that means both parents, not just one).

I think Perry would be the best shot we have of any recovery of the damage that has been done

I also like the fact that he isn't out pissing away money, but is getting all of his ducks in a row for a serious run for the White House

On the other hand - maybe Hillary will slip it to the Obombster and get the Dems nomination.

"Natural born citizen" has always been defined as born in the country of citizen parents (that means both parents, not just one)."

The only requirement for natural born citizen in the US is to be born in the US. That is why babies born in the US to illegal aliens are anchor babies. Once born here they can't be deported.
